I tried but every setting I try to use to trace the bitmap kills bridges and fucks up edges.

If Kovio made this map in a way that allows for vector formatting, then it would be super helpful to upload it as such. If not, I'm assuming that >she went in and did this pixel-by-pixel.

well, it's a 25% scale trace of a 30000x30000, 1px = 1 minecraft block map. I guess it coulda been done in quarters at full resolution but a full-scale image is impractical for 90% of shit regardless.

idk why it'd be hard to vector-ize it though, it's a two-color, aliased png, you're literally just drawing lines through points.

Sure, there's no real use for having the 90 or 100% versions, but I still want it because muh data hording.

As for why it's hard to vectorize, I don't know, but Inkscape's built in trace-to-bitmap function kills the bridges and edges even after I untick the "smooth edges" option.

I mean, it's traced over the scaled-down master png, so what kovio posted is the highest-resolution landmass outline there is. In hindsight we really should have done the trace starting with that (though I've no idea how nicely it'd downscale without introducing aliasing).
