What I've learned about people like Chris is that no matter how hard they get hit, they do not back down. In fact, it only encourages them. They might storm and make a show of attempting to quit, but there will always be that retard who says "don't let the door hit you on the way out" and gives them the motivation to keep going, to keep fighting, to ironically NOT quit. Quite simply, that is how you separate the wheat from the chaff. Some people when bullied quit. Others will only attempt to fight back and stick out from the crowd EVEN MORE, no matter how stupid it is to do so, because as far as they are concerned, they are right and always were and they have to prove it to the world.
The other thing about people like Chris is that they are inherently attractive to upstart groups looking for an engine of growth. They are extremely useful when controlled, but eventually they will grow too big for the group that brought them in and will either get kicked out or be allowed to take it over. When they take it over, they will generally run it as they see fit, because previously to that point, they never were criticized for being crisis-oriented, knee-jerk, loudmouthed, or rabblerousing. But once in power, they make horrible leaders until they learn the lesson that they cannot rule using the traits that gave them leadership in the first place. But, they can learn the traits necessary, which is their one strength.
KaiserinReich brought in Chris for one simple reason: he is extremely prominent and through his enthusiasm will draw others to him. The fact that Icenia is now the largest city in their nation proves as much. But eventually, once he starts getting into true leadership positions at a national level, his support will begin to draw away. If Nova were smart, they would use this stage to put a glass ceiling over Chris and keep him as a usefully directed engine of growth. If Nova is a retard, they will do nothing, allowing Chris to create the public perception of a crisis and then turn the blame for it onto them, as opposed to where the blame really belongs: the petty government officials who will inevitably strangle the nation with their squabbling and power grabbing. In short, give it a few months and either Chris will be capped, exiled, or in charge of the entire country.
