I have to say, I agree with this. Ideas should be judged on their own merit, not by the merit of who says it, but more often than not, the mods of the board tell their butt buddies who said what anyways. The cool kids club is real, and it runs this board.

Uh, the mods (myself, dave, patchy, kovio) mostly don't even play anymore and I think only dave is active in mumble these days and I've never heard him tell anyone who a post was made by. There are exceptions made with shitters like NES, but that's about it.

Kovio used to do it occasionally in the past (i recall one instance where she called out immer on something) but that was a long time ago before you were even around and she hasn't done that since.

Honestly, I don't anonymously THAT often, and a fair amount of it is mostly innocuous. I namefag 90% of the time and mostly people can tell my posts from a mile away, so does it really matter? You tell your buddies it's me anyways, so it doesn't really matter. On the rare occasion that I say something while anon that is actually a stupid idea, as opposed to a meming, simply fucking around, or being uninformed (which isn't always my fault, given that a large amount of the things that have happened in the past don't get talked about at all, so I have no ability to know that I'm uninformed), it gets called out anyways. Don't pretend that I regularly drop stupid ideas as anon on the /civ/ daily while anon to avoid getting shat on for it. I recognize when I say something stupid or wrong and I always apologize for it. If the fact that I am uninformed bothers you or the rest of them, then feel free to correct me and I'll amend what I've said or reject it, I'm a very reasonable person.
