That's a mighty subjective thing. People blast me for lacking context, but I'm afraid this time it is you who lacks it. From what I have seen, most people in Chanada I've talked to about it, especially the newer crowd, is in favor of giving them a second chance. And when Camo, Auf, Beamish, and I agree on something (which in this case may be the first time ever) I think that it shows that this isn't just an issue of a few biased individuals advocating for their friends. We're being reasonable and saying that we should give people a second chance. reddit is dead, Yuntay has apologized and promised to pay reps, and in my entire time here I haven't heard a peep out of bongo, despite the apparent hatred for him by certain people. It's time to let it go and give them another shot at things.
Also, on a related note, I don't think that HanTzu has any right to own that entire island, or at least to declare that Yuntay can't settle it. It's Federal Land, so it's managed by the Chanadian government, he shouldn't be allowed to determine the fate of a HUGE chunk of prime federal land just because some people who moved out to Tazmily or quit (in the case of Dave) said he 'owns' it. No, he doesn't 'own' it, it's not his country. It's land for people to settle as they see fit.

Here's the deal, Clacton is basically just like reddit except less so, less resources, less land, less usability, its only feature is that it looks a bit like a Star and there is some minor settlement there, given that reddit isn't sucked dry of resources and useful nearby materials, to say no to trading the two on the grounds of Yuntay being there is either lunacy or salt.
Yuntay will never be able to amass a force strong enough to be a serious threat to Chanada in any way, if he stepped a toe out of line Polynesia would come in and swoop his ass off the island and into a vault before he had time to post a picture of Farage.
It would be a trade of less for more, and frankly being able to keep a watch on Yuntay.

Yuntay was not a one time griefer,
Yuntay was given multiple second chances,
Yuntay previously tried to deny his actions,
Yuntay only days prior tried to bargain his way back to Clacton.

Who knows, maybe he is legitimately apologetic, I do believe that Bongo was, But you should take these things into consideration.

For Bongo (his partner in crime) it was just that; reconciliation.
Bongo never got to go back to Clacton, It was decided that we wouldn't pursue Bongo for his crimes, but he wasn't wanted back.

Not true, I have called him out on this before. On top of this, his opinions are generally on point. Furthermore he was there to see one of his versaillian brothers pearled by 2 Chanons in versailles for petty theft and then given to the WP (literally put in clones vault). I offered to pay his reps, Josh offered to pay his reps. The guy who bountied him has stopped playing, Ironmike quit and he is STILL pearled.

I wish I'd actually finished off /Pol/andcraft when I had the chance. After unreal's fell, I could have led a massive exodus of non-shitty players to Civcraft, but I decided against it because I didn't want the past following me around all the time. That being said, /Pol/andcraft only gets on my nerves due to their extreme hate boner for us. They attract a different clientelle. They are a small, faction server, with an extremely opaque and corrupt adminship, and they allow pirated clients. In an ideal world, they wouldn't even compete with us, because they would be for the pirates and people who prefer a faction server style of play. They don't really compete that much for playerbase, it's more the hate boner that's an issue. As for Chan.os, I completely agree, let's put the past to rest and start cutting down on the constant counter-shilling and desperate penny-pinching in our ad threads.
