No.30588
I added Cian's official claims to the map posted in that banishment thread on Reddit. Hantzu, it would be nice if you added that version of it to the OP of the post as opposed to the current one that leaves out Cian's claims.
There are a few big things on our agenda Cianites.
1. The creation of a formal legal code dealing primarily with the issues of unlawful entry, unlawful conduct, citizenship, and the establishment of our government and some basic rights.
2. Where to establish our main city, and general details to go along with that.
3. Along with #2, scouting the general area of our claim.
4. Establishing basic security procedures and general defenses.
5. With consent from Ryden, the construction of an ice road from our main city to Titan.
The Google doc (which will be continually updated until it is finished) containing our future code of law is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xK8rPkgF4VACyapn2iIwj9_awjZi5rjAnGe_jjaHkxI/

I thought chanada aready had one?
Here is crimeos legal code if it helps to give you a template: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Zxm5t5CtDimB5t4cTpKeZFTij761GslgUhF7LD8wOtY/edit

Txapu doesn't even list most of my claim from what I've seen on it. What I can see is ice and some forest (likely where main city is going to be built)

Unsure, would have to scout out the claim more.

I wanted one for Cian moreso to deal with the issues of citizenship and some local procedures and rights.

UPDATE:
I am almost finished with writing and proofreading the Cian law code. I just need to add in a few clauses regarding citizenship. If all goes well I am planning for us to start shilling by the next weekend; however, some things need to be accomplished before then:
1. The construction of 1-2 apartment building(s) in the area. This shouldn't be too hard and will take maybe an hour at the most.
2. I picked a spot for the foundation of the town that was relatively flat, but there's a few areas that aren't. It doesn't need to be completely flat, in fact it's better if it isn't. I know Niceman555 is currently at the foundation of our town (outpost building), but I know that Pokerpo and Caravine (as well as the others who haven't fully joined yet) are not yet there. Ask me for our coordinates (although it's not a big secret, I don't necessarily want to post it on such a public area)
3. The completion of a factory building.
4. One or two bane-related monuments. I'm thinking of turning one of the apartment buildings into a plane doing a nose-dive. Another idea is simply a rising array of netherrack on fire.
5. An economic plan for the nation of Cian must be completed (by me, of coursh). Folters as well as Outcast have both offered suggestions for the economy of Cian and I personally find them to be very good suggestions. We need an economic plan and a main export before we can even consider shilling. It is essential that newfriends have 2-3 meaningful jobs to do upon arrival. Creation of a mining area (possibly finding a vein) and a farm is essential as well.

1. /Pol/ynesia is the most populated, probably about twenty-five or so active
2. /K/ountry is second, with about twenty
3. Tazmily is third, maybe eight people
Below that are a bunch of smaller, either essentially abandoned or startup countries. I'd say that if you're looking to join an active but small country, try Spainland or Wulfkhaine. If you're going for a live startup, try Cian. If you're looking to breathe some life into an essentially dead startup, Tygrus. Below that are Titan, Beilefeld, and /V/iridian. I don't know if Ryden is looking for new Titanites as of late and I couldn't tell you the first thing about /V/iridian or Beilefeld. And of course, below that is Atlas and reddit, but really, why would you choose either of them.

If you're a bored newfriend there are a few things you can do before I get on and hand out work:
1. If you see stone on the ground where mountains were removed, replace it with dirt.
2. Harvest and replant the wheat field, I'm currently in the process of expanding it to around 9 squares, which will be enough food so that we'll never have to worry about it pretty much ever. Do not expand it on your own as it is very particular as I want to turn it into an autofarm later
3. See those mountains and non-flat land to the right of the outpost building? Those need to be flattened so we can put a massive oak tree farm there. My ambitions are to be producing at least a half a DC of oak saplings every day.
No.30942
Gotta go to bed in a couple minutes so I'm gonna keep this short and sweet.
1. I'm appointing Niceman555 to be minister of infrastructure for the time being. I'm absolute shit at building things that look good, and he has offered to redesign many of the buildings currently in Cian, and he seems to have good taste.
2. That being said, redesign anything you see fit Niceman. Just don't touch the wheat farm or tree farm.
3. We need to create a building for storing factories. Lolsarfresh/Pokerpo/Niceman555 if you guys want to scout out a good location and have decent build ideas let me know when I get on tomorrow. The main inhibitor here is determining the most suitable location in regards to future development.
4. We're going to be building an ice road to Titan pending Ryden's approval, we need ice and people to help dig. We're gonna need plenty of wood too, so harvesting the tree farm would be most helpful.
No.31066
Good work on the apartment building niceman. Once you're done with the other one with 20+ rooms we can begin shilling. I'm also working on expanding the tree farm to 3-4x its current size, maybe more. Producing at least .5 DCs of saplings a day is an absolute must at this point to make it a strong enough export to somewhat rely on.

Reinforced Newfag shitshacks are preferable to towering, hideous obelisks which instantly make the game feel like a chore, it gives something for newfags to do so they feel like the game is worth playing.
Apartment blocks can look nice and be a nice place to live in, but that's rare at best.
If you've got time to try and teach newfags how to play, you've got time to tear down their attempts to enjoy the game if it doesn't work.

>It takes 10-15 minutes to teach someone the basics of reinforcement, chat, namelayer, factories ect but tearing down a single reinforced build can take hours.
Meant that in a moral way not literal, apartments usually look like cshit and aren't fun to live in, if you've got time to convince newfriends to join your city and teach them to play you've got time to clear up any mess they made if you weren't successful in making them stay.

>If you've got time to try and teach newfags how to play, you've got time to tear down their attempts to enjoy the game if it doesn't work
Why spend time on an avoidable task? People who will quit because you don't let them build an ebin mansion right off the bat are, quite frankly, not worth it anyways. I agree that commie blocks scare people off. But a nice-looking building that makes people feel like they're living together and working together works very well, look at Volkstadt.
>Apartments usually aren't beautiful though, 9/10 someone building an apartment for newfags to use it's been poorly designed and built like shit.
Allow me to tell you that that's bullshit. Some of our most successful and core members of /Pol/ynesia started by being shoved into Zombiefork's favela (Tigen, Kallak, Sheylos) or into Balgopal's shithole of an apartment (Logi, Oculus, literally too many others to name). Having been one of the main people integrating new people in /Pol/ynesia for a few months, i can tell you that 9/10 people are a lost cause anyways, they will quit or contribute nothing. I'd say maybe 1/20 even make it into government or carve out a niche for themselves to be successful in in another way. If you allowed people to build-n-quit, your city would be 90% shitty empty buildings and 10% active. That is what kills towns, not anything else.

the issue is this; you offer critiques and sweeping absolutes with the implied authority of one who is knowledgeable on the subject.
The truth is;
You have never run a successful nation
You will never run a successful nation
as you said yourself you >literally do not want Chano.s to be repopulated or powerful in any measure -
so why should anyone take anything you say about civcraft as anything other than a joke, derail attempt or desperate plea for attention?
If I was in the first stages of nation building and wanted a powerful nation, I would talk to and listen to the advice of Sintrailin or JoshJosh
If i was in the first stages of nation building and wanted a populous nation I would talk and listen to any /pol/ gov member or Syncrates & dubs.
These people have successfully built nations, maintained populations and have various levels of server relevancy. They know what works and what does not. You on the other hand offer only untested, bad advice, unwanted and often untrue opinions and stale memes.
Don't worry, you're not completely useless though. For instance, if I wanted advice on how to post the same 10 images over and over each week however, you would be the first one that I would ask.
