Worth noting though that is what it was at day one, save a splash of Scandinavian immigrants who mostly kept to themselves and went to undeveloped lands in the north (see UP Michigan, North Dakota, northern Midwest in general really), rather than festering in the big cities like the Italians did especially.

Maybe not yours specifically, but the kinsmen of your grandfathers who were content in New England did. I still think that means something, and I don't think it's right to turn your back on your people just because they're some ways away from your comfy part of the country. Also worth mentioning that those at the top have always benefited more than those at the bottom, true, but that doesn't mean those at the bottom can't benefit a great deal as well. I mean the federal government just gave away acquired land for farming to people who promised to do something with it. All of that land came through our conquests. And also America as a whole benefited from western expansion. Had Americans stayed huddled in the Northeast, it wouldn't be nearly half as powerful as it is today. Something to think about.

Except ALL people view their race and culture as being superior to others. It's an instinct we all have that can't be gotten rid of. Notice that not even Marxism removes this instinct, it instead replaces it with a self destructive culture that promotes decadence and mongrelization. And anyone found being outside this culture, such as a nationalist or a fascist of any sort, or anyone having different values really, is insulted and outcast. This can be anything from not liking the same music or food to not like the grand world view people generally have.
Of course I think my race and my culture is the best one. It's because I am my race and that's a huge part of who I am (you can really only be what your ancestors were, it's in you fucking DNA) and I was brought up the way I was, instilled with certain mannerisms, values and standards, and thus every other culture seems alien, funky or sometimes just flat out wrong to me. I'm not saying they all seem like shit, there are other cultures and people who I like (inb4 weaboo), but I still could never truly wish to be one of them.
