Who the hell wants to play in a nation where people log in to create XP between 10pm and 1am and then log off? I get that we need to produce shit, but we shouldn't make the mistake of assuming that what's good for the government is good for the overall community. You, as the leader of government, know what is best for it and you know what? You've done spectacularly. Everybody who logs onto the server now in /Pol/ynesia instantly asks what they need to be doing, usually to make XP. But what we are missing is that people play this game FOR FUN. I don't blame you, but let's face the facts here: if the only reason people log in is to grind XP, what is fun? And don't say that's not the case, not a single person logged in during the bulk of the day today.

I understand that population comes and goes. I have been on minecraft servers for half a decade now, I know precisely how these things go and so I know what will kill us: stagnation. You claim quality over quantity, but if that's the case, why shill? We already have eight to ten quality players, we finally did it, we finally got to the point where everybody who logs in is a quality person. According to you, we should be just fine.

Chanada is the biggest (active) confederation on the server and even if the amount of players is declining you definitely want quality over quantity. I lurk here mostly but I do admire how well organized the chanadian confederation is.

like it or not thats a big part of civcraft. I find maxing farm and resource gathering and xp production to be fun. Get good at pvp, or get rich is kinda the endgame for this server. If you arent into either of those idk what;s kept you around

We still need a proper mob spawner and a gold farm. Other town and community builds can be organized a t your discretion. Building isn't fun for me so I might not be the guy to appreciate that.

to make shill threads you need to be subtle, for instance if you're making a thread on /v/ just simply make a minecraft nostalgia thread, then make a post asking if there are any /v/ servers, then mention civcraft in reply, then just let the thread evolve naturally

ill find the links to threads ive made in the past that were succesful ill even commentate on the posts and tell you which posts were samefag and which werent, also it helps if you have multiple people doing this and playing different roles. have the op, then have the 'shill' and have a few random idiots who also keep the thread going, dont just have one person samefagging or else it will get noticed by the mods and get deleted

if its on /pol/ or something you could easily do it with 2 or 3 people just post a thread saying "are there any /pol/ minecraft servers" or "does /pol/ play minecraft"? and let it evolve from there, dont instantly mention civcraft either let the thread naturally evolve and then have a rush of different people talking abour civcraft, the op image doesnt even have to be from civcraft it could just be a googled image of some nazi shit in minecraft, it helps if its not from civcraft honestly

I think that the move to the chanada mumble had merit, but in the long run it makes no sense if we only have a few active nations. Sure, if all 12 or so Chanadian states actually had 20 dudes then we'd need it, but right now we don't need it. The main reason I decamped to the Chanada mumble is because immelol owned the other one and he was inactive. We should move back with immer or Josh owning it and have the subchannels redone.

No, but seriously, in terms of sliding and spam, 4chan is far worse. First off, a solid 50% of the threads are either obvious bait (>your face when you realize God's existence) or blatant shilling for fringe movements (Heil Odin, christcucks) and other trash. 8chan is hardly better across the boards, I ragequit /co/ the other week after a diaperfag fetish thread stayed on the frontpage for an entire week. I've almost completely stopped browsing imageboards and playing videogames lately and it'll probably stay like that for a long while, so I'm a poor judge. But yeah, chan culture is on the way out, I fear. Or at least, more so than it was in the past, assuming it was ever 'in'.
