As most of you have gathered from recent happenings; Chanada is dead. The idealistic concept of all Chan volk living and working together under a common banner has failed. Maybe our differences in board culture were too great, maybe we had too great of an expectation for new member states - maybe the leadership of Chanada, including myself- deserves a certain amount of blame.
The sudden exodus of the CivHQ crowd has forced myself and /pol/ynesia - the only active and competent remaining Chanadian nation to make some very difficult decisions.
As can be seen from this link: http://imgur.com/lBUpsBI (yes I made it in MsPaint. sue me) I both officially dissolve the Confederacy of Chanada and proclaim The National Socialist Empire of Polynesia to be fully autonomous and free of any previous alliances or political obligations we acquired during this now-dead union. We hereby reclaim the former nations of Spainland, Tygrus, Wulfkhaine and Kompound into /pol/ynesia proper. Spainland and Wulfkhaine were once /pol/ynesian territory and all four nations were initially founded by /pol/ynesians. Furthermore we add the territories of Viridian and Akihabara to our claim. Our intention is not to grab ahold of unneeded land, but rather to look after and preserve sites of important Chanadian historical and cultural significance. I have tried to get in touch with both Arathalon and Centipede(somenumbersgohere) the undisputed leaders of the aforementioned territories. I doubt they will have any issue with /pol/ynesia keeping their lands clear from grief and squatters but this of course, is subject to change. Ultimately I will respect their decision. The lands of both Atlas and Clacton have 0 historic, strategic or sentimental value to myself or any former chanadian. The decision of what is to become of these lands falls to mobaction and thatbeamishguy respectively.
If at some point in the future we decide to recruit new *chan board nations, we will have plenty of space to do so: marked in orange, from our own territory to grant- but for the moment /pol/ynesia must look inward and focus on ourselves.
So what becomes of the purple land? I have already been approached by a number of different, well established members of the server asking to purchase the land - which I have declined. The reason the entity formally known as chanada had such a large claim - was to support future growth. A valid reason considering our explosive population booms.
With this spirit in mind: I offer up all of the purple land to new startup nations, free of charge, allegiance, political obligation or ideology. I can't count the number of times on this sub that I have seen new players trying to settle on claimed land, get booted off and and complain "is there even any unclaimed land left?" Well now there is. I would not like to see the former Chanadian federal lands gobbled up and held onto by CKR, FT. Nox, Arran or any other existing entity. Newfriends who are opposed to being in an established city need an area to build, farm and grow. As such; the land marked purple is to be exclusively used for NEW NATIONS. I would define such a nation as one where 75% of it's founding members have played for less than 3 months on this server. /pol/ynesia will try to enforce this as best we can, but I would greatly appreciate any help in forming a 'new-friend homestead protection coalition' of sorts to ensure that these lands are used for this purpose. Such an organization may prevent the drama and headache of new-friends settling on your claims as well...
To those banned from Chanada or presume to be at war with us; you are hereby unbanned: There's not much left here for you anymore. Polynesia is still private so I'd ask that you request permission should you wish to visit.
To those who have come out of the woodwork offering their support and allegiance to /pol/ynesia and Chanada in private- I thank you - I hope to soon ratify what you all have proposed shortly.
