Actually, it was Nostradamus that pushed them over the edge. See, I was talking with them the night before and they were all actually pretty happy about the removal of Tazmily. They saw this as a good thing, something that would eliminate the drama and conflicts that plagued Chanada, just like the rest of us. They were totally on board with a new constitution, reforming the confederacy.

And then came Syncrates. "Yearn funded Sarahsbum, because she hates us!" "Tazmily did this!" "Look at the facts! It's too good of a coincidence, bg!" "MUH CONSPIRACY!" "TAZMILY ALLIED WITH MIR!" "THIS WHOLE THING IS TO ALLOW THE WP TO KILL US ALL!"

And so he convinced the coalition of children and spergs that Tazmily did this as a last 'Fuck you' to us all, so they decided to strike back. Remember, in his mind /k/ was literally always right, and since he controlled the flow of information, the people of /k/ would have had as much luck getting actual info as they would sucking a golfball through a garden hose.

Let's not forget, Reiko, that because you were hesitant about declaring war on Mir that Syncrates was CONVINCED that you were actually secretly on their side. And this became the cornerstone of his paranoid breakdown.

It is because of this simple assumption that he told /K/ompound that you (and by extension Tazmily) had simply taken their materials for the war and then not given any thanks. (There is a legitimate complaint to be had that they donated materials to help create your new vault out there, despite not knowing where it even was and then you seceded. This actually REALLY pissed off a bunch of /Pol/ynesia too, for the same reason.)

Everything that Nostradamus blathered about was based on the single assumption: Chanada is filled with traitors, that cannot be proved to exist, but still exist nontheless, despite no evidence of them existing. This wouldn't have been a problem if /K/ompound had been as close to Tazmily as they were with some of the other states, but as it were they were isolated geographically and socially to the point where they were closer to Xavter than they were to JoshJosh. (I actually place some of the blame for this problem directly in the lap of Spainland, /A/kihabara, and Titan for forming a giant wall of inactivity around them. Yes, they hid behind a wall, but on the other hand they were completely surrounded by people who only logged in to grief them or powerplay and ignore their actual countries. It set their attitude.)

I really should have put my foot down about Syncrates when I had a chance. I should have intervened during the reign of Prind and put a stop to that as well, but I didn't. I should have intervened and gassed Prind, then demanded that Rasquito, Knealz, Spongy, and Dubs be given massive power to prevent the rise of another dictator. I should have been the power player that old Nostradamus said I was and played him off of his own people. I saw the cracks and disagreements there, I easily could and SHOULD have done it. But now here we are and /K/ompound is dead.

It sucked that everyone mindlessly followed Syncrates. He was alright at first, but after a while he let the power get to him. In the end, he was the one who killed kompound when he tried to wage jihad against his imaginary oppressors.

From the start, I at least would try to look at both sides of an argument or issue and propose some different solutions. I tried to have more of a "Dont fuck with other peoples shit" policy behind my ideas but when I pitched them, they would always side with their glorious leader and continue their spiral into degeneracy. In the end I turned into a meme, then evolved into some kind of senile oldfag that couldn't keep up with the times. I suppose in reality I just couldn't keep up with Syncrates's fits of schizophrenia.

I don't know much about this tbh but I don't remember /k/ompound donating much of anything. Also I'm really sick of hearing about all these complaints from the Mir War.

Just please remember that we tried to work with them a lot and Josh and Yearn were nothing but polite and kind to them even when they treated us like shit.

Why didn't you ask me to intervene? I intervened on your behalf once to put my foot down on LordSparkles. I could have put a stop to this LONG before things got this out of hand. I intervened on behalf of spongy and dubs, as did Tigen, to bring about change in /pol/ynesian government to stop the Spainland War, I should have stepped in here too. I had too much faith in the ability for people to change things from the outside. If anything, this has taught me a valuable lesson in foreign relations.

I think 90% of it was Syncrates' hysteria and their own natural paranoia. But I still think that the way the Mir Conflict was handled led to a lot of the things that went down and instead of recognizing the fact that mistakes were made, people on BOTH sides (including me) just dug in their heels and defended their increasingly untenable positions from across whatever trenches and walls they were building between their neighbors. I refuse to believe that if the Mir War hadn't happened then Chanada would still have collapsed like this and a part of that was the fact that /K/ompound felt (wrongly) abused.

Yes, but then whenever they lashed out, you guys struck back, which if I know anything about interpersonal relations only causes them to continue the behavior because it adds justification for their unreasonable bullshit. I don't think you guys were wrong at all and in the end you guys did 10000000 times more for Chanada than they did. But, I cannot deny that they did feel wronged and people handled that the wrong way.

Ya know I once had a paranoid breakdown on a different server.

I was leader of a group of small towns and one of the admins, who was a friend of mine at the time, started fucking with my shit because he wanted to roleplay as a Communist dictator. Slowly but surely I lost my trust in him as he raided my towns over and over and eventually I began a futile war against him and his empire of faggots. We were out manned and out gunned and in a last stand within our coalition`s capitol after 2 months of war, I and about 12 other players held out against this nigger and his army of 20+ Diamond clad pvper`s. After they breached our walls and slayed us I left the server in a fit of rage and haven`t spoken to the bastard since. That was 3 years ago. I have plenty of other mediocre stories if anyone ever wants to hear them.

Before you read further, know that I was present that night and I believe a final testament is in order, for history's sake.

For what it's worth, it was Syncrates that kept us in Chanada (And in Minecraft) during at least three major dramafests since I joined up, when several other members wanted to secede from Chanada or leave the game altogether.

What happened that night was that everybody present agreed that Civcraft just wasn't fun anymore, and for once, Sync agreed. We tossed around ideas for how we should go out, some said we should just log out and never come back, scorched earth the hell out of /k/ and do the former, secede from Chanada, or launch some futile attack on somebody we believed deserved it.

We ended up deciding not just to leave, but slam the door behind us. We were done.

We ended up burning all our wealth to the ground, changed all of our skins to Henchmen from The Venture Bros, and decided to meme Tazmily, some of you are all right, but I agreed on some choice members that needed to get kicked down a peg before we went off into the obscure annals of a biased autismcraft wiki page.

One thing that all of us agreed on, after every last diamond was burned, emerald trashed, and TNT detonated was that it was the most fun that we have -ever- had on Civcraft in recent memory.

Most of us in the Mumble left that night and never looked back, but I at least wanted to try to offer some insight into why we did what we did.

It wasn't any one issue, a perceived slight by /pol/ or any other (then) Chanadian nation, it wasn't some paranoia-fueled oldfag conspiracy.

We just had no desire to log on and work anymore.

It just stopped being fun.

In closing, I'd just like to say a word on behalf of /k/ members who did not partake in our actions, if Ras or anybody else left in the aftermath are still out there, they dindu nuffin, please don't let what happened that night taint your perspectives of them.

I wish the members of /k/ still active good luck and godspeed.

Secret mumble got deleted, I'm petty sure about it. Last week I got on it, and all the guys were on, but they felt more hostile than before, excluding Unit. Haven't been able to join it since, I don't know why.
