I played this one guy who dropped his sword while managing pots. It took way too long to kill him after he did because he kept running away.

Don't be upset if you lose a bunch of matches at first. Your mindset should be about getting the win and learning from defeat. If you do win a fair bit of unranked matches don't sit on your laurels and think you're hot shit. You may have gotten a string of shitty players that anyone could beat. Play randos, play one another, always keep growing. If you start to think you're a god or something (even though a bunch of cockroaches could probably kill you easily) you won't practice and your skill will go down.

Always keep going, don't make dumbass mistakes, and don't think you're good with no justification.

another word of advice: don't use debuffs. In an actual server fight you have the potential to fuck your own team over with them.

Debuffs in a 1v1 are gimmicky as fuck anyway. Most of the time experienced players can avoid them by jumping (really advanced shit here) or strafing. Even when you do get them with it it doesn't mean that you'll be able to capitalize on it anyway. Even if someone has weakness it doesn't mean that they can't combo you, if they have poison it doesn't mean that they will rapidly lose health. Even slowness isn't the end for whoever got hit by it.

So, you make it or you don't, but that's still more than enough inventory slots lost. health pots and strength 2, speed 2, and regen are more reliable and much more important. If you run out of either you're fucked six ways from sunday. If they run out as well then it's a slow, clunky hitfest with tons of pearling away, although that may just be the person I played who was probably a jaja because the name was spanish-y and he squated a bunch while I was hitting him as a wierd form of taunting or some shit. PvP was in his name and he probably had a fucking cape too to round off the faggotry. I hate it when you're playing someone with PvP in their name. Not because they would beat me, but because I beat them. I mean, PvP is in your fucking name and you just lost. This is like my name being "Ronald Baker" but I can't mix flour without fucking it up and putting a cape on. I fucking HATE capes as well. It's a non verbal way of saying to me "I'm SO FUCKING COOL LET ME WAVE MY COOLIO CAPE AT YOU" I see it as the minecraft equivelent of a dick and I know some people like dick (beamish tbh) but I sure as hell don't so get that shit out of my face so help me god, but most people with capes (fucking jajas) take the time to crouch taunt you to build their egos up before they get comboed across the border by trump who dodged all their debuffs and straifed correctly

exception is regen 2 pots but that's advanced stuff i think

I'd say splash r2 is a better debuf than any combination of poison/slow/weakness, given that it's only one potion so not much to fumble, and if it hits, your opponent has anywhere from 1-22s before they're fighting without regen

JaJa pvp is pretty diverse as I have worked on it more than the latter, bonus if you speak or understand Spanish as some lyrics are great morale boost, you will fight more agressive.

First song Del Negociante gives the best morale for both non Jaja speakers and native jajas

DEAD. Holy shit. Apparently if you squat while you're being combo'd you get broken out of that combo. I never use it because it doesn't really work.
