I've experienced life in the U.S. and life in Serbia and I gotta say, the two are 90% the same. Sure, there's a different language and some different traditions, but you can get around - at least in Belgrade - without any knowledge of either of those. The average wage is a lot less in Serbia, but the cost of living is adjusted accordingly. However I work online so my income isn't affected by where I live.
If you're on a western income the quality of life is better here than in the U.S. Otherwise it's pretty damn similar tbh. My big reason for liking Serbia better is my girlfriend lives there.
