The first two issues of this brand new comic being marketed towards young girls might not have been very actiony or witty or relatable or likable or tolerable or anything like that, but I think we all need to understand that comics are for everyone. It's 2016, and I believe it's high time comics are marketed towards other demographics, since they have never attempted to do so in the past like 50 years.
You all might think this series isn't good (since you're all men and evil by default), but sometimes the best things have rocky starts. So I think it's time for a third first impression from entertainment extraordinaire Kate Leth.

Part of me thinks it must be some sort of doublethink–they want more girl comics, but when they make one, it's stereotypically girly, cutsey, and dripping with the authors' yaoi fanfiction. I know I'm late to the party, but the perspective on that door makes me so fucking angry. Doors are supposed to be hung so they open inwards, and there's no reason to think this ritzy apartment would have fucked up doors. So in the last two panels of pic 2, it's kind of assumed we're looking at the landlord as he's peering around the door, and that behind him is the interior of his apartment (instead of the doorframe). It's weird, because we shouldn't be able to see his shoulder unless he had opened up the door very wide, but that's okay because I guess he just opened the door up wide.
But then in pic 3 panel 1, we clearly see him reaching around the door to point into the hallway. The door is clearly blocking half his body. We also see that the perspective for the entire panel is wrong, because the bottom of the door is flat, but Patsy and her pet fag are standing on what appears to be a slope. Apparently the hallway floor just has a 30 degree slope from one side to the other, or something.
Then the characters move around the door a bit in the subsequent panels - I can't prove this, but it looks to me like the artist realized he had fucked the perspective on the door up so he drew these panels such they could be interpreted either as the guy pushing or pulling the door shut. And look at panel 4, for God's sake! The door is apparently a foot and a half thick.

Animator here. The whole scene has godawful perspective to it, which is quite typical in comics with a lot of "talking heads" emphasized in the panels. And bad perspective backrounds is not surprising with these Hellcat comics since the emphasis is always closeup panels of the characters babbling about something. Its not a problem unique to it either, artist being lazy and using a boring panel layout that has two characters talking to each other, cut little above their waists is a rather common thing in comics.
In the world of manga (inb4 "Take it to /a/", /a/ doesnt read mangas, it faps to lolis and nothing else.) you see that similar problem with a lot of romantic comics aimed towards girls, since making pretty characters and faces is more important for the artist than the environment or dynamic and interesting angles used in the storytelling.
Personally I hate those kind of comics, since my childhood favorites (and which got me to draw and animate in the first place) were comics like Bone and Akira which are both full of fluid movement and action. You dont get those kind of comics all that much anymore.
