Does anyone even care about the original 80's Turtles anymore?

 No.539573

I just want the Street Sharks crossover we never got.

 No.539575

>>539572

I think it is less they care about the turtles and more that they care about April honestly.

I mean, does anyone not like 80s April?

Except for THOSE people i mean.

 No.539578

>>539575

April was the only good thing about the 80's cartoon.

 No.539579

Nostalgiafags surely do

 No.539585

Also outside of Rob Paulsen all the 80's VA's sound fucking old.

I think I only ever watched 3 or 4 eps of the '05 onwards ones. Pretty shite, really.

2000s turtles was better.

I hated what they did to April in the red sky seasons, she was no longer a reporter as the news building got blown up by Shredder so she became a fucking computer hacker.

People don't give enough credit to 80's NT. It gave a pretty great inspiration for later incarnations of turtles it helped define individual characteristics of turtles and in a lot of ways was pretty creative and fun show, if don't take it seriously. Ether way first season is genuinely good.

>>539631

>2000s turtles was better.

It stayed a good show a bit longer than 80's one and gone to shit after 5's season, instead of 3'rd one like 80's turtles, so yeah, I guess it is better. Being more faithful to source material was great too, but you can't deny it took into account a lot what 80's show brought up to table, instead of being shot for shot adaptation of graphic novel.

Sup, 4kids.

Which of those 2000s Turtle Boys was Wayne "Joey Wheeler" Grayson in 2000s TMNT?

I can't remember, but it might've been Mikey or something

Ninja Tribunal Arc

It peaked at season 4.

Ninja tribunal was still good. Though a bit shonen.

Flash forward was PURE DISTILLED SUFFERING save for a single episode where Baxter found his happiness actually, the episodes that featured Bishop were okay

Back to the sewer is not as bad as FF, but becomes toyetic out of control, it feels painful to have another Shredder, like we didn't have enough yet, and the change in visual style is jarring and painful.

Actually I do recall there was a puny parody crossover with this first one. Not really serious though. Also I actually thought this was Extreme Dinosaurs. Got'em mixed up after all these years!

The CGI series is pretty much as much like the 80s series as possible, I'd imagine a lot of people still care, your nostalgia is not something you need to protect like a religion.

And they already have the 80s turtles make a cameo.

 No.540041

But now they're having them star in an episode anon! So you can now hear old fucks try to sound like teenagers while using outdated 80's slang.

Did the fans of the 80 turtle series even like Turtles Forever, or did they rage at the mockery of their favorite series?

>mockery of their favorite series

it was a mockery of the 2000s turtles to have this crossover

 No.542456

>>542360

Oh lord I remember so many whiny 80's fanboys bitching and moaning about everything about that crossover, how the original VA's weren't there, how the 80's Turtles didn't do shit and how the movie kept on shitting on the 80's Turtles.

It was a lot of fun.

>Does anyone even care about the original 80's Turtles anymore?

Yes. Faggot hipsters.

The early 2000s TMNT was the superior version. When they did the crossover with my version of the turtles, my son kept giving me looks like he was embarrassed for me.

He was right to do so.

To be fair 2003s turtles wasn't portrayed that great ether. The whole plot was dumbest than any shit that was in 80-s cartoon. I mean why would Utrom-Shreder would want to destroy multiverse, what is he became a nihilist like Owlman, or something? Why would Karai helped him to do that? Kinda hypocritical to make fun of 80-s version that gone to shit, when their own version gone to shit by that time.

 No.542521

>>542517

Case in point.

>>542519

Because Shredder at that point was batshit insane and didn't reach 'destroy the universe' levels until he realised that was the only way to destroy all turtles forever.

 No.544062

I find it hilarious how young most of you obviously are

>Our shiny soulless extreme to the max turtles are better

>they stick closer to the overrated source material

>Shredder being a space squid is better

>WHAT THE SHELL x 6,000,000 per episode

>Young hip april who fights

>Lame ass version of Casey Jones

80s turtles were a saturday morning cartoon for children, it wasn't trying to be "hard" with shit like WHAT THE SHELL or be a nearly full on adaption of the poorly written original. The 80s turtles took the basic concepts, characters, and plot lines and made something for children out of them. Certain limitations dragged the show down, but at its core it was a purer show than the product that was the 2003 series which tried way too hard at being hard.

 No.544092

>>544062

>uses the word "soulless" in the first line of greentext

 No.544101

>>542521

That's actually my favorite part of the movie and it was a rather novel concept. Imagine if someone like Lex Luthor realized that even if he destroys Superman, Supes would still live on in the multiverse. In fact, Superman is a multiversal constant. Billions upon billions of Supermen in countless alternate dimensions.

It would drive anyone insane to realize they will never have peace from their hated enemy.

It's kinda amusingly meta given the whole idea of the hero/villain dynamic in different incarnations

The villain realises that his existential concept is literally to be beaten by his hated enemies.

 No.545765

2003 turtle fans are the ones who are bitter. Bitter that their show isn't as well remembered or loved a decade later as a show three decades ago.

 No.546014

Goddamn are you projecting.

Like most 80s cartoons, 80s TMNT is remembered fondly entirely by normies who barely recall any actual episodes of it, and just spout catchphrases and memes in lieu of actual appreciation. No wonder it's getting the Bayformers treatment; they damn well know the audience has no taste.
