Im a bit rusty I have to admit. I havent read a western comic in ages
I remember reading invincibe and the walking dead, but its been so long dont even remember where I left off
I read some alan moore. Watchmen, V,his swamp thing run, was animal man one of his works? I dont even remember that
Some punisher books, garth ennis mostly, tried the boys but it bored me what the fuck happened after he left? Taxi wars? What the fuck?
Batman year one also, and dare devil born again.
Thats it.
Im currently reading hellblazer. Pretty entertaining so far, I like old comic in this style
Well point is I want to get back into comics and I need some recommendations that are not any of the works mentioned above,I kinda want to read some deadpool handled by someone competent, but I have no idea where to start

Less specific authors and more of specific sagas, since the main writer for Dredd is John Wagner
You could start with:
>The Day the Law Died
>The Cursed Earth
>City of the Damned
>Mechanismo
>Blockmania/Apocalypse War
>Necrópolis
>Origins
>Book of the Damned
>Judgement Day
>América

It's probably mostly the art style of op's pic that made me think of it but maybe The Invisible's. Grant Morrison's series about homeless wizards and tranny shamans fighting interdemensional demon gods and their corporate cronies.

Only the very basics.
Some stuff involving The World and Deathlok might be a tad confusing.
I knew nothing when I read it and loved it.
Basically:
Fantomex: A rogue agent of Weapon Plus (X) who made Wolverine and Fantomex. He's a guy who's super good at stealing and was made in an artificial place called The World. He lives with an old woman called Mother
The World: A giant dome containing a place where time was sped up to aid creating Weapons like Fantomex (who was made by a guy called Father). Father, Mother and Brother (Captain Britains dad) were in charge of the Weapon Plus operation in the UK.
Deathloks: Cyborgs.
Deathlok nation: a future timeline where all the superheroes are the above working for Father
Apocalypse: An ancient mutant dude with disciples and a hidden city
Brilliant series, best depiction of Deadpool so far and Fantomex is my waifu.
Read it.

Thorgal is a really good adventure comic. Main character is pretty much monogamous Conan the Barbarian, who also happens to be an alien that crashlanded on Earth (just like Superman) during Viking times. It also has magic, monsters, aliens, and beautiful women.

I uploaded all 12 volumes translated to English to /co/'s volfile from share thread. Just remember that files will expire in 5 days. If I can find other volumes in English I will put them on there too.
Other than that, buying or torrenting it is the best way to get English translation. It is one of the books that is much easier to find if you know any of the big mainland European languages - preferably French or Polish as Thorgal books come out first in those two and other translations are based on them. There are 32 volumes total, and new one gets released every year or two.

As to other recommendations, another very good book is Chew. It's about an FDA agent who can see the past of anything he eats. Eventually he starts using his ability to solve crimes and gets involved into more and more dangerous cases. Book is a combination of action and comedy, for the most part. It has some gore, gross out, and surreal humor too.

If you're looking at some modern superhero stuff I thought this was pretty decent. the art varies from not bad to pretty awful since JRjr really doesn't care anymore, but if you can get past that it's worth a read in my opinion.

Hellman of Hammer Force from Action? (would have been in black and white)
There's been some good tank-based Commando's, too. They're best when they focus on a single crew, though often it's on a regiment as a whole. Same with bombers.

Do you have any favorite genres?
If you like horror, read Baltimore stuff from Dark Horse, it is very good. If you prefer your horror with some comedy and action mixed in, read Witch Doctor and Hack/Slash.
The Spirit and Black Beetle are must reads if you enjoy pulp and noir adventure stories.
If you want to like to read good old action, monsters, heroics, and crime fighting adventures, read Savage Dragon. It has been running for 30 years now - written, drawn, and colored all by the same guy.
Why do all recommendation threads always end up dead at around 50 replies?
