How can a show be so annoying yet be popular?

In Spongebob's defense the show didn't get real annoying until after the movie. Bob's Burgers has been nails on chalkboard tier from it's beginning.

I dunno, it's kinda funny compared to the shit it's up against on Fox
I can't imagine watching this show more than one episode at a time, however.

I asked the same thing about BBT.
Then I realized nobody actually cares or enjoys that kind of filth and only uses it as a retarded bandwagon to join and act like you're hip and cool like any other cancerous fandom that sprouts up from other shitpiles.

I actually marathoned that a few weeks ago.
Season 1 and 2 were actually pretty comfy for a family sit-com (See: >>544119 ), not OMG BEST THING EVER, but nice and casual, and 3 had a few stomachable episodes but it was all downhill and after "Seaplane!" it's was all damn near un-watchable shit though.
Should had its 2 seasons and gone off the air.
I mean, Early Bobs Burgers beats Modern Simpsons. but that is hardly a a achievement, but i think it got popular because it filled the "Niche" Simpsons had stopped fulfilling for many people and is still coasting on that despite no longer doing that.

It wasn't even that bad until every other episode turned into a steady run of "Tina is awkward, she is have problem doing the teenager thing" and the writers just started packing them with fantasy sequences about horses, dancing and butts, with the occasional awkward groan for flavor. I just wanted to watch a show about a sane guy surrounded by wacky characters trying to do what he loves. How do you even turn your titular character into supporting cast material?

I don't hate this show, but there's just something grating about it that makes me not want to watch it. The chemistry between certain characters just doesn't work and certain running jokes just aren't funny.
Any episode focusing on Linda, for example. She's like the worst traits of Peggy and Marge in one obnoxious package.

Watched it's very flat.
The writing and crappy animation and character design doesn't mix well. It's could better worked as they imagine a puppet show.

Artstyle grates on me, it's like seeing Sesame Street characters drawn.
The kid with the rabbit-ear hat I only had to hear for about ten seconds before realizing she was gonna be another Stewie Griffin-type character.

I do like Bob's Burgers, and I'm still a bit surprised that this show lasted six seasons, and having another two on the way.
And while I still catch up to new episodes, I'm not feeling as interested in the series like I used to in the earlier seasons.

It's a great show to binge on, though. They have little callbacks throughout the episodes that I think a lot of people miss when it's stretched out over the months.

yes, she's got Peggy's "I'm always right" attitude and Marge's whining when she doesn't get her way
strangely, I find Tina episodes to be meh-tier to kinda funny, but Tina in general is like a mix of Meg and Lisa in every way that's horrible
and Gene is just a waste of space

Louise is fun because she's petty, vindictive, rude, and unpleasant, and she's not invincible.
A lot of shows try to do the precocious kid who is secretly kind of evil thing and fuck up by making them untouchable. Louise gets kicked around from time to time and doesn't always get her way, but also is allowed to go above and beyond from time to time.

This was one of the most moronic "jokes" ever, because two old past their prime shows are apparently "carrying" Bob's Burgers. Never mind the fact that Fox had BB take American Dad's old time slot in the animation domination block when that show moved to TBS.
