Should be coming out on the 12th of July. It was originally coming out on the 5th with 2 issues, but now it seems to just be 1 issue.

I promised I'd do this long ago for anons on both /v/ and here, so we've just got to hype ourselves up for another month.

Their comic "The Dregs" has it's 4th and final issue out on the 28th of June, so if you guys want to see a bunch of liberals accuse Jews of cannibalising the poor without being clever enough to work out that they're Jews, I can storytime that shitfest.

In fact, I think I might go storytime a bunch of their shitty comics on that day. They have a lot of hamfisted liberal comics that address problems they see in the world without actually figuring out the cause.

Fun fact: The leader of the Cal-Exit movement said he was sick of Trump and moved to Russia of all places.

Like not other states. No just California. You fuckers are deeply indebted, incapable of managing a water crisis, are some of the most pussy, un-gunned states in the country.

Yet despite that have the arrogance to think you could stand against the military force of the United States where Texas Failed?

I don't even think it would be funny as infuriating. 20 Pages that just say "Calefornia is Great Fuck Trump" would be less self serving garbage then this.

Eyup, here's the total plot.

>In CALEXIT, the citizens of California will struggle to seize power back from an autocratic government. The ongoing series tells the story of Jamil, a 25-year old courier (aka smuggler), and Zora, a 27-year old leader in the Pacific Coast Sister Cities Resistance, who escape together from a prison camp in Occupied Los Angeles, where martial law has been in place for the past year — ever since America’s demagogue President signed an executive order to deport all immigrants, and California responded by proclaiming itself a Sanctuary State. Each issue of CALEXIT will also include non-fiction material about local sustainability and grassroots campaigning for 2018 elections.

Will they deal with the inner part of California not to mention the vast numbers of conservative/nationalist/patriotic citizens in the state? Will they create a working functioning government with international recognition by bombing the shit out of government buildings and vehicles? Will they manage the stave off the impending hunger crisis as thousands upon thousands are dependent on the imports of water and foodstuffs? Will the impending counter-revolution even be mentioned as these honest-to-God anarchists start taking power? Fuck no they won't.

California would be a distort the likes of which even the Norks would fall back in horror. I'm just confused about how you can advocate for a revolution to create an independent country when you don't believe borders or countries actually exist. Do Californians even have a national identity? Even in communist revolutions a common language and culture is used to oust "imperialists and reactionaries" I just wonder how the comic is going to deal with all the military bases and veterans that live there. They don't, which is why California succession has never been treated seriously. It's like Texan succession at this point, difference being Texas was a country for a decade until it joined the U.S.

California was too but for a month or so, and it wasn't even recognized as one, just a rebellion waiting for the Americans to arrive and be annexed.

Really, Californian indepedence could only be won with support from, ironically, the people they accused of helping Trump into the White House: Russia. They'd also get help by China because both would do anything to weaken the U.S. They probably would help in direct military support like in Syria or in Korea, but diffidently send in arms and belligerent status like Britain and France did for the South (sovereign recognition would result in war with the US)

Even then, I doubt a Californian army would be effective either.

They'd probably get the most beta, pussy whipped cunts they could fit in a military suit and fill the army with strong womyn of color, gays, and trannies so they can have some kind of propaganda like "Diverse people vs. Nazis" or some shit. They might conscript the Mexican, Muslim immigrants but that's suggesting they'd actually want to die for California and not just live on welfare.

They'd also have to face a problem with its own conservative, and patriotic population that favors the U.S. They forget that a good chunk of their population supported Trump and would gladly fight guerrilla battles against Californians to keep the U.S. unified.

They wouldn't be able to wage a guerrilla war themselves, like the comic suggests. Californian landscape, while beautiful, isn't ideal for guerrilla warfare. Just ask the Native Americans. The only war guerrilla war would work is in the concert jungles of cities like L.A., San Diego, or San Jose/San Francisco. The hot scorching Mojave desert would make it nearly impossible to defend, and even harder to wage guerrilla war without most soldiers dying of heat stroke.

Really, a Californian War for Independence wouldn't be a glorious guerrilla war fought by brave, diverse, progressive college students. It'd be a massive tantrum on the scale the earth has ever seen and just result in the biggest ass whopping in human history. Not even Antifa can wage any kind of warfare and they bill themselves as some kind of freedom fighters akin to the Viet Cong without realizing why the Viet Cong had so much support.

I made this image but forgot to add it to my last post.

but mostly the coastal cities that are liberal shit pits filled with people who have never had a need or want in their lives.

However, most of the population is in these liberal areas.

Also one of the reasons California has a SHITLOAD of federal military bases, besides the fact it's a huge coastline, is because the state has pulled shenanigans in the past, was under threat of leaving the union during the civil war (the governor of California and Jefferson Davis were BFF's, and interesting enough, Also BFF's with John Wilkes Booth, he had a meeting just days before the Lincoln assassination, and that page is missing from his diary..)

The federal government has been on California's ass since the 1860's for that shit.

>This is contrary to almost all of western intervention. The fact of the matter is, where there is war, usually the west intervenes somehow. Especially if an ally is involved.

He thinks that because the west (pretty much only America) gets into a lot of foreign wars, this means the Europeans will intervene in America. The Europeans aren't willing to do more than sanction Russia for what's going on in Ukraine, and that's in their own backyard. Even if they wanted to, there isn't a single European nation that could contribute to a war in America because they'd be quivering in their boots over Russia without America being there to help them if war should break out.

>After a Civil War, the USA won't be able to fight anybody.

A completely foolish notion. It's after revolutions and civil wars that nations tend to get more aggressive, as their new leaderships see scores to settle with foreign countries. The French stomped all over continental Europe not long after a decade of civil strife in the French Revolution. The Spartacist Uprising and a German civil war occured in Germany only two decades before they fought half the damned world. Even after the US Civil war, there were plans to use veterans from both sides to invade Cuba and Mexico to help unite the nation.

>There will be humanitarian pleas in the EU and elsewhere, which will inevitably create an occupation of the USA.

Holy shit is this guy retarded? What sort of moron thinks that the entire world is divided between Democrats and Republicans?

States only acting in their self interest is the first thing you learn if you even glance at Foreign Relations. It's why Russia is able to get away with annexing Crimea, why North Korea still exists, why everyone and their mothers has a pet factions fighting in the Syrian Civil War.

The only way you'd have a state intervene in a civil war would be if they thought they could get something out of it. And since it'd mean going up against the rest of the US by proxy and California isn't in some strategic position or a mass producer of oil the US refuses to sell off it's just not worth it. The only way you'd see it happen would be if some state was gearing up for a full scale war with the US and wanted to force them to split away some of their forces. Even in that situation, if the revolt was actually successful all your left-wing secessionists would get to look forward to would be a future living in a puppet state of their foreign "ally" after it made certain that the only rebel factions with the strength to form a government were the ones that did exactly what it wanted.

actually California is a fucking geographically diverse state. It's an engineering nightmare. Which is why we have only a few highways through major mountains.

The deserts are far from flat.

The LA area is almost nothing but hills with some valleys. LA itself sits on a former prairie, and a former semi-arid desert north of the Santa Monica mountains. (That's right, LA has a mountain range in it)

to the east you have the san gabriel valley, and beyond that is a rise that brings you from 300 feet above sea level to 900-1000 feet above sea level, and is a series of valleys called the inland empire.

Orange county is a downward slope, Ventura county is hills and one huge plain, and san diego county is nothing but hills.

Riverside county is a fucking series of rocky and hilly deserts with a somewhat flat desert to the east. east san diego country is a hilly desert as well.

Mountains fucking everywhere.

the central valley is the only huge flat portion of the state, only the southern most part is desert. There's also the Carrizo plain.

eastern side of the state once you get north of the mojave desert, which is a series of basins and ranges from crustal expansion, it's a long valley between two huge mountain ranges, then you enter the ranges themselves once you get north of bishop. (sierras and white mountains)

the coast is nothing but hills between LA and san fagcisco.

San fran is a bay area that is full of salt water marshes and inland bays, whatever isnt this is small valleys situated between huge hill ranges.

as you get north of the central valley and the bay area, it becomes tons of random mountain ranges, and almost nothing but mountains all the way into oregon.

tl;dr: california is far from flat, and has tons of areas that arent desert. Southern part of the state is the only part that is mostly desert.

NATO basically IS the United States.

Europe might not be in any position to intercede on behalf anyway if Russia takes the opportunity to push west or if Muslims go wild.

Also this guy is an idiot if he thinks that a US civil war would only have "the left" vs "the right" as belligerents. Gangs don't give a shit about politics and they would fight everyone. All kinds of terrorists would flood to the conflict too to destabilize the situation. A civil war will be a horror show if it goes on for any amount of time.

The real danger of foreign intervention in a US civil war is the nuclear situation. Would other countries tolerate nuclear arms falling into the hands of either side? Might they preemptively go hot and burn the whole country? No one knows how this would play out.

Even then I'd argue it wouldn't be worth it. You'd need a state relatively near California (because shipping oil halfway across the world is expensive), which didn't have weaker/less stable states closer to it with oil to pull the trick on, and that felt like it could take on the United States. Knowing full well that if the US could prove to a reasonable degree that they were funding the rebels then the US could get NATO involved and invade that state while still fighting Calexit.

So basically the only people stupid enough to think helping a Californian secession would be a good idea would be the kind of people who'd think that California could take on the rest of the US in the first place.

and honestly, the state would probably hold up well in the beginning. Hell, even mexico allying itself with california would be a likely possibility. However, the feds would not fight this lightly. Too much infrastructure, too much weapons, and too many key military contractors there. Liberalism is a veneer over the true nature of the state.

We have idiot lawmakers, but even our ultra liberal governor knows his limits and what he will not touch.

We had a gas leak in northern LA recently, he ignored environmental laws and protected that company.

Environmentalists will scream at wind and solar farms, but won't complain when oil is drilled and a nature preserve is flattened out in favor of a shopping mall.

Someone showed me a hilarious double standard. Some college up north that is known for being pro-environment was expanding its campus in a way that would block off a sensitive ecosystem. They didn't even flinch when pushing new buildings into an environmental preserve.

most environmentalists are armchair protesters who like things looking pretty, they can give fuck all about nature.

I'd bet you that Texas has more wild life in its cities than the entire LA basin has, as most indigenous life has been wiped out.

Anyway, California would get fucking wrecked. Namely because the people who are able to fight would not side with calexit. They'd be on the side of the US. Marines vs. a bunch of pansy upper middle class college liberals who shoot pellet guns in the desert on video to show how scary they are.

We're more than likely a quite bit smaller, haven't interacted with many other Cascadians that are right-wing, personally I also think North-West Front will jump on the band wagon if that shit kicked off.

don't forget any roads labeled with the route 66 insignia are useless routes no one uses.

They're historic roads no one would be affected. You'd have drives screaming "move you retarded hippies" as they take another street and get on a freeway.

It's all about encouraging conformance to group-solidarity without any consideration to relevant criteria. Someone's against an illegal immigrant, you tell your constituents that that person is doing it because they hate immigrants, not because that hate criminals. That someone wants to prosecute an armed robber who happens to be black, you proclaim that your Professor X mind powers know the real truth, that they're only doing it because they hate black people and the anti-crime part of it is a sham front trying to fool people. Then enough people buy into the concept of standing with Their People, regardless of if they actually did something wrong or not, and you get lockstep voter support on the cheap.

>They'd also have to face a problem with its own conservative, and patriotic population that favors the U.S. They forget that a good chunk of their population supported Trump and would gladly fight guerrilla battles against Californians to keep the U.S. unified.

Or failing that they'd try, and probably succeed, in breaking their part of the state off from the liberal part.

Different anon, but I did some looking into nuclear power stuff recently. The short answer is that pretty much any second-generation or later nuclear power plant has multiple redundant fail-safes specifically designed to automatically shut off the plant (or the affected part of the plant) as soon as anything stops functioning correctly.

To my knowledge, all historic reactor failures have occurred in first-generation reactors, and even then never as a consequence of no one being around to tend them (Chernobyl's meltdown was a consequence of the reactor being incorrectly configured and fail-safes being overridden during a stress-test; the Fukushima plant was built in a tectonically unstable area and safety refittings recommended by scientists and engineers were ignored prior to the quake).

 No.881633

>>877965

A funny thing I read once is there have been simulations of a Civil War Electric Boogaloo breaking out and it was found that other countries would help to quell it due to how massive the US is for trade. Any break down in trade would wreak havoc on the world.

The caveat to that is that if it was just a section of California trying to succeed it'd practically be a race by all the world to curbstomp the uppity hippy fucks to set things right again.

>To my knowledge, all historic reactor failures have occurred in first-generation reactors

And most of those were military experimental reactors or breeder reactors or that sort of thing.

>the Fukushima plant was built in a tectonically unstable area and safety refittings recommended by scientists and engineers were ignored prior to the quake

Which is also a major problem with the reactors in California.

>You see these two masked goons sucking face in front the strongest army in the world

>Something clicks in your brain.

>You never liked California, you just liked seeing your family there

>Hell they got out of that state as soon as this shit broke out

>This kind of shit is why, these arrogant, communist millennials ruined what was once a great state

>There is only one solution, only one way to save the union

>You turn to look at your commanding officer, he's already looking at you, knowing exactly what you've been thinking

>He nods his head, you're authorized to do the correct and necessary thing.

>You raise your rifle, calmly and cooly aim it at the man's head.

>Pull the trigger and watch his head jerk violently as the bullet tears through his cranium, accompanied by a momentary mist of brain and blood.

>The women is shocked, she can't even wrap her mind around what has just transpired.

>They thought you'd give a damn.

>She barely has enough time to turn and look down at you, rifle now pointed squarely at her.

>BANG

>She goes down much the same way.

>The others try to fight back, but their clear lack of experience and training makes this all far too easy.

>You and your comrades decimate them completely.

>The tanks blast through the shoddy wall of cars with easy, rolling in to deal with any dissidents who might still be there, before you and the rest follow.

I'm fairly certain those are lesbians. Those dirty commies would just love to have that happen on the battle field. such a profound statement.

>Then the dissidents try to open fire

>They made a critical error.

>In their attempt to show their better than you, they built this huge wall of cars and stand atop it to make themselves feel superior and so much bigger.

>It just makes them easier targets.
