We here at PI are specifically looking for new members too. We are small enough for invite cost to be small enough to not hurt at all, and got more Magic than we know what to do with, so tiers 1 and 2 can be supplied well. If you like to take on responsibility of your own (while still having the chance of being taught by the guy who writes the Guide), PI is for you. If you're active enough to handle Compounds, that's enough to get a chance. Everything above that is optional, but you won't be lacking the opportunity to participate if you choose to.
Not to say anything against the other alliances. All of them are nice guys, but as said, it can be hard to get into their circle.
What Minty didn't say in his modesty is that the Cauldron especially are top players, evident in their high average production level, but that is not least because of their high standards they set for their members. So if you have what it takes, go to them; but overall, you probably have the best chances with PI.
