You can apply to join Ponies Republic of Pegasopolis and Karakos by sending me a private message in game.

There are currently no requirments for joining my alliance. If you just need a temporary home until you get an invitation from the alliance you really want to join, that is okay too.

These two have really good alliances. They're nice people and I approve of them. There's lots of great alliances sprouting up in the game, and there will be even more as people advance up the charts.

Infinity Cauldron how ever is not nice. There's so much talking we have to do. There's coordination to plan, and orders that you're given.

You have to consider the things that are good for other people before yourself. There's meetings and you have to be vocal about everything.

I can't understate that point enough. If you're fine just biting your lip and taking it like a bitch, you shouldn't even ask for an invite.

Why not FFA? Friendship For All is an alliance that would be more than happy to guide new players. I can't speak for Polandball, but I'm sure you'd get an invitation if you asked.

To not clutter up their own recruiting thread, here my answer to Mintys fine analysis:

We here at PI are specifically looking for new members too. We are small enough for invite cost to be small enough to not hurt at all, and got more Magic than we know what to do with, so tiers 1 and 2 can be supplied well. If you like to take on responsibility of your own (while still having the chance of being taught by the guy who writes the Guide), PI is for you. If you're active enough to handle Compounds, that's enough to get a chance. Everything above that is optional, but you won't be lacking the opportunity to participate if you choose to.

Not to say anything against the other alliances. All of them are nice guys, but as said, it can be hard to get into their circle.

What Minty didn't say in his modesty is that the Cauldron especially are top players, evident in their high average production level, but that is not least because of their high standards they set for their members. So if you have what it takes, go to them; but overall, you probably have the best chances with PI.

Okay, I know that a lot of the players coming from >CLOP don't really want to do this, maybe they're really shy, but…

It is perfectly okay to talk to strangers in Compounds.

Introduce yourself. Ask to join an alliance, anyone's alliance. It's okay, nobody's going to make fun of you or call you a nerd, and even if they do what's the worst they can do, not let you play the game?

The News is absolutely loaded with new players not getting alliances. If you've made it to the board (which shouldn't be hard, I mean it's in the drop-down list for unallied players), ask for one. It's okay to ask.

Set up an automatic message that immediately exists whenever a player first joins, basically saying exactly that. It's worked for other services, after all. Sometimes you just need to give people LOTS of opportunities to notice something, or they'll miss it.

@ 2.5% taxes it costs 25 Harmony to maintain a stock of 1k Harmony per tick. Which at 6k, the amount needed to change values by one point, would require 150 Harmony per turn to keep 6k Harmony stable.

Which at T6 requires 36 Happiness per tick to maintain the 2.5% tax rate anyways.

And enough Joy to keep Alliance Sat stable relative to the number of players involved.

I could align four to six T6 players in different large alliances, stockpile Harmony in different accounts and organize a single group transfer with the intent to shift one cost by one degree.

But that sounds a whole lot like herding ferrets. It takes even more energy to actively ruin the game than to just let it roll on.
