I won't call it a war, because I haven't seen any counter attacks or a declaration of war in any public channel.

Yeah, see, there's a public and private face to every transaction. I've seen public declarations of war even a few days after troops have been sent, but the issue there is, it's public.

It allows for people to discuss things, explains grievances, and promotes conflict resolution.

Attacking without an explanation isn't War, it's aggression. Aggression is a crime. You'd just be using force to get what you want.

Basically, until your intents are specifically spelled out and backed by a body, recognized by the population at large, you're basically engaging in a terrorist action.

Either way it's going to end hilariously, because seriously, you're attacking a hydra which no amount of paranoia could properly prepare anyone for, and has the potential to slide into world war because you took some really obvious bait, but that's not really my call in the end.

War is when the military of two or more nations (in our case, alliances) engage each other in regular extended conflict. At most, this is a battle. If more waves are sent, when retaliation is rallied, this maybe defined as a war.

However, war was *officially* declared months ago by Sir_Scarf. It is simple to see that Scarf has become what he once detested- that the power of planning and executing a war mongering coalition has gone to his head. He has now found that on the winning side, politeness is not a luxury afforded by ones victims.

An amount of decorum has always been expected in this game. Public posts are made when significant attacks are fielded. Sides are taken, and for the most part everybody knows the whole story.

This is the first and most important attack in >Clop 2.0. If The King of Eggs wins, TCoLC will re-form with new nations and a monopoly on the game. If they lose, TCoLC collapses, and the balance of power shifts drastically.

For a battle, its outcome has a very serious impact on the rest of the game. Chose your sides wisely.

I'm not really seeing the parallels though. In this situation you have a financially secure decentralized entity under attack (in your own words), by forces of mediocrity.

If you wanted to draw a connection between the Rebels and TMO, it wouldn't be that hard to do. It's a two member group being attacked by a six member group. It's not hard to spin things that way.

Eggs really could come off Imperial with the right wording, it's not that hard.

If you wanted to play KoE as the rebels, Star Wars isn't a good medium to approach that. Because the Old Republic, and then the Galactic Empire as well, both end up losing to … well, a small group of ill equipped individuals with a bit of magic and luck on their sides.

I'm also curious about the Episode I. It fits because it's first, but it ends up making a connection to Phantom Menace, and no one likes remembering that thing.

Otherwise, some parts are interesting, but it's so biased against KoE, that the medium chosen contradicts the message.

That's conjecture on both counts. When the Guild won, that is what they did, but KoE are different people and might very well not make that mistake.
