10 mil bits/tick may seem godly to you. However, what you have not taken into account is the price of other goods and services, such as sugar, copper, etc.
Without sugar, we die to sat loss.
Without oil, we die from the inability to support sat buildings.
Without copper, we cannot make said sat buildings.
It all boils down to enough players sitting down to help others out. When that doesn't work out, the next best thing appears, which is attacking each other to get what they need.
