To prevent people from gaming the ascension system now that they know how it works, I'm going to remove the production bonuses from joining the game as an ascended user in a week or two. Strongly recommend that all the ascended players either get alliances or create their own before then.
And yes, you'll be able to actually join alliances fairly soon.
No.71
>>70Limit on making an alliance, Admin? I'm assuming production bonuses don't include that.
(Please drag that one out~)
No.73
>>71Not sure yet. Not for a while, if ever.
By the way, don't join Compounds if you're planning to ascend but haven't yet.

Actually, I'll just fix this programmatically. If you ascend in >CLOP and can't make an alliance in Compounds, let me know.

The server is now officially open, and people can now invite their friends to alliances.
I guarantee absolutely nothing at the moment. I don't guarantee that I won't change how ascension -> production works. I don't guarantee that I won't intervene if someone's created way too powerful with the way it works now. I don't even guarantee that I won't do a wipe.
No.80
>>79Now that it is officially open: Bug report, I can only have one active invitation to my alliance at a time. Trying to create invitations for other players results in "You have already invited that user to your alliance."

>>79Good progress! This looks pretty promising.
Though, question: Leaders have production now? Didn't you say that leaders needed followers in order to do the actual production…?
No.83
>>82I did say that. And then I thought about it some more, and then I went back on it.
At this stage, I reserve the right to do that.

Hey admin. Any kind of ETA on when the game will actually be playable? As far as I can see as of yet there's nothing to actually do. Not that I'm trying to rush you or anything. Just wondering when I should bother checking.
Thanks for all the work you've put in up to this point! ^_^

>>85I hope to have the tick script firing at some point tomorrow if not tonight. I need to finish Things That Players Need To Be Able To Do first, like put items the marketplace and make compounds.
I might even do things like fire off the tick script numerous times in a row and then wipe the resources table, so please don't be too concerned if your reports don't match reality for a while.

And oh, minor thing but it seems that my name didn't capitalise correctly when I made my account in compounds. Any chance you could fix that for me?

>>70>production bonuses from joining the game as an ascended userAscended players get production bonuses? Does this mean that no matter how well a new player plays this game, he'll never be able to produce as many resources as someone who ascended in >CLOP?
The very design of the game creates a player base that's divided into two classes?
No.105
>>104>The very design of the game creates a player base that's divided into two classes? We already had that. Alliance leaders do most, if not all of the compounding, and production players.
Also, admin did say in that same post:
>>70> I'm going to remove the production bonuses from joining the game as an ascended user in a week or two.So no, this doesn't really change anything.
No.106
>>104It's an initial bonus, not a permanent boost. A new player can catch up.

>>106K, thanks for clearing that up.
Do people who already have a >CLOP account have to use that name in the new game?
No.108
>>107They don't have to (at least after I actually get done the New User page), but I strongly recommend it.
