Give other players power and they're bound to fuck up.
I told him repeatedly to check his superpower relations after building 4 research facilities. He told me that his relation to the Solar Empire is fixed. (>pic related)
I recommended to check the relations anyway. Well, he DID check his reputation and he saw that he was losing points and that the NLR has sent some troops to his nation. For some reason, he built moon worship centers instead of sun worship centers, though. Oh, and of course it's a really good idea to use tanks to fend off pegasi. >.<

I think it's time to create a new 'mock the dead' thread. I saved the old one.

Yeah, superpower governments aren't magic, they're simply the equivalent of 60 worship centers.
So 4 research facilities remove the bonus, but you still have the high relationship malus to deal with.

You're even missing out on the fact that having 1000 Relationship with one of them results in:
An extremely good friend is hard to keep; you lose 31 relationship with the Solar Empire.
So it's not even really 60.
Admin did say that it should be enough to offset losses, but at that rate even 2 Research Facilities would drop you below 1000 Relationship. At least during the tick while calculating Sister attacks.

I think I'm going to treat research facilities like drug farms. You have a facility? You can't go aligned. You're aligned? You can't build a facility.
