There are a Catholics(I'm one) but they're also spics and yankees, generally. There is this weird history of Catholicism in the South though.

And there are/were a lot of Methodists and Presbyterians etc. but those Churches are usually filled with Carpetbaggers and 'traitors.' And the Southern pride really only exists in the low class country folk, but it's better than nothing. You'll see a rebel flag fairly commonly once you're outside the cities. Problem is the public schools have brainwashed most of the younger generation, and TV/music is erasing the Southern dialect.

Recusant English Catholics from Maryland, Irish, really any. The reason I'm Catholic is because my mother is technically a spic but there are native white Catholics. That was a post war/KKK thing. Now most southerners and Nationalist organizations don't really care. The Catholic Church is more Southern than most Prod denominations these days, in terms of doctrine. There's a video of the Georgia chairman of the League of the South saying he was Catholic, but I think it was taken down.

Pretty much. There's tons of catholic churches where I live and my dad is a catholic.

Not at all, really. I prefer them but they do need to go/integrate. They still have a tight familial bond, something that's been lost pretty much everywhere. Give them the empty parts of the Southwest.

I doubt you could convince most people nowadays to not make a democracy. I've been thinking about what a new Dixie government should be like, and I think that the Federal government should be really weak. This way the federal government can't do anything that benefits certain states at the expense of other states (see: The tariff of abominations). I'd say the States should be in charge or welfare, the economy, immigration etc. The federal government would really only be in charge of Defense, Foreign relations, war, etc.

I'd say it'd be a democracy, but not this faux democracy that the current US has. More close to the democracy the US had during the Jacksonian age. Strong state government, weak federal government.

Even though I'm more partial to, say a military dictatorship, it won't be. It's not about my wants, but the want of the people, and the people would most certainty want a democracy.

It's called the battle flag. It's quite popular among Europeans, especially in Germany and Sweden.
