ANIME, I UNDERSTAND THAT CLIFFHANGERS MAKE ME VERY INTERESTED TO WATCH MORE OF YOU …

but do you really have to end the episode at a) before one of the sweetest, most adorable characters is enraged at having lost their only chance to save their friends, or b) before a mile^2 blanket of missiles are about to obliterate humanities only chance at surviving and reaching a supremely happy and peaceful future?

At least cliffhangers keep you interested.

Its worse when they go back on something like when they bringing characters back form the dead in the bullshit ways possible. cough Gundam00 cough

I was kept interested anyway. They're just frustrating. Really, I do like that feeling of anticipation it's just that moment when it ends right before something you've been waiting the whole episode to see.

Bringing a character back from the dead can be an interesting experience if done right, but yeah, backtracking on important plot developments can make you feel like the story hasn't really progressed.
