Hello, and welcome everyone. The basic point of this board is as the subtitle says; come in and drop your opinions here, talk about what interests you, explore what interests other people, and in general, participate in what hopefully will be a community that continually grows, becoming richer and more diverse among its members.
Since the board is still young, I'm going to be its only manager (more staff may be added, with population increase), and keep the rules simple for now. If all goes well, nothing should have to be changed or added in these.
Rules
1. Above all, freedom of speech is important, to this board and to anyone browsing it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and stances, and those differences are the most valuable thing here.
• 1a. Freedom of speech is not freedom to be nasty. Nobody's speech will be censored, but posters are expected to accept responsibility for their behaviour; thus, if anyone feels that they are being attacked and board staff deems the complaint serious, you may be asked to kindly drop the subject. Do keep conversations here civil when possible.
• 1b. A converse to Rule 1a. Ideally, nobody will have issues with each other, but we cannot reasonably prevent everyone from disagreeing. That'd just be stupid. As posters on this board are expected to behave with maturity and intelligence, they are also expected to realise that this is not a hugbox. Board staff will address all posters equally in regards to the rules, and nobody will get any freebies; if a complaint is made without good reason, the reporter may be told to 'get over it', per se.
• 1c. Because total freedom of speech is protected here, any given thread may or may not contain content that would not be considered work-safe, insensitive, disagreeable, pretentious, or plain obnoxious. Browse at your own discretion.
2. Discussion of any and every topic is allowed here; nothing is off limits. No stances on any topic will be censored, as long as a basic environment of respect is kept. Keep topics Post too long. Click here to view the full text.
