 No.2

Hello, and welcome everyone. The basic point of this board is as the subtitle says; come in and drop your opinions here, talk about what interests you, explore what interests other people, and in general, participate in what hopefully will be a community that continually grows, becoming richer and more diverse among its members.

Since the board is still young, I'm going to be its only manager (more staff may be added, with population increase), and keep the rules simple for now. If all goes well, nothing should have to be changed or added in these.

Rules

1. Above all, freedom of speech is important, to this board and to anyone browsing it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and stances, and those differences are the most valuable thing here.

• 1a. Freedom of speech is not freedom to be nasty. Nobody's speech will be censored, but posters are expected to accept responsibility for their behaviour; thus, if anyone feels that they are being attacked and board staff deems the complaint serious, you may be asked to kindly drop the subject. Do keep conversations here civil when possible.

• 1b. A converse to Rule 1a. Ideally, nobody will have issues with each other, but we cannot reasonably prevent everyone from disagreeing. That'd just be stupid. As posters on this board are expected to behave with maturity and intelligence, they are also expected to realise that this is not a hugbox. Board staff will address all posters equally in regards to the rules, and nobody will get any freebies; if a complaint is made without good reason, the reporter may be told to 'get over it', per se.

• 1c. Because total freedom of speech is protected here, any given thread may or may not contain content that would not be considered work-safe, insensitive, disagreeable, pretentious, or plain obnoxious. Browse at your own discretion.

2. Discussion of any and every topic is allowed here; nothing is off limits. No stances on any topic will be censored, as long as a basic environment of respect is kept. Keep topics reasonably separated in their individual threads, but if it's relevant enough, crossthreading (posting/linking from other topic threads) is allowed and encouraged, in the interest of making conversation easy.

• 2a. The board owner, Serj, reserves the right to temporarily or indefinitely ban a topic from discussion if it becomes too inflammatory board-wide. This subrule will probably never have to be used, though.

3. Users here can be as anonymous or as open-booked as they please. Because it is a community board, any amount of personal information (within reasonable boundaries) can be posted or withheld. Anyone found doxxing users who wish to remain anonymous will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Bans

All disciplinary action on this board will begin with direct verbal warnings from staff. Everyone is given a minimum of one chance to correct their behaviour before any 'punishments' are issued. If they have to be used, they will be handled on a case-by-case basis, depending on the amount of offenses, severity, general attitude, and perceived toxicity of a poster. 'Toxicity' is very strictly defined for this purpose; there is no such thing as a user being banned because board staff does not like them. /count/ will not play favourites.

Now that that's all out of the way, happy posting. I leave you all with a very rare Devin.
