They aren't promoting it, so much as speaking out against the thought crime mentality and punishments which could be considered cruel and unusual. For once I thought we could all agree with them on that. While it's a horrible crime, being arrested for possession of depictions of it which in some cases are digital simulations crosses a line. A man was arrested tried and put on the sex offender registry for photoshopping images of a teenage girl he knew onto porn, poorly. We need to arrest child molesters, not pedophiles. I sometimes think about robbing a bank or killing my neighbors senile rooster because it freaks out at odd hours of the night and wakes me up. Like just now. But I have never done those things. Imagine if playing grand theft auto was illegal because it depicts crimes. That's where this mentality leads us. We can't just lock up every person who wants to do something illegal. We have to wait until they act on it. Otherwise you wind up locking up a bunch of people who might never actually act on that thought and when it comes to setting legal precedent they always go for the low hanging fruit. No one likes pedophiles, so they get their rights stripped first. But then you have the legal precedent to stick ankle bracelets on anyone who's shown an interest in a criminal act, including collects of Nazi memorabilia, and stuff. We could make them live so many miles from any temple, or Jewish community center. That's wrong. Until they show definitive intent you can't strip them of their rights and after they have served their time you can't keep punishing them indefinitely. The whole process is sicekening to me and if a girl calls me daddy in bed I lose my wood. That's how unattractive the thought of children is to me. It's not that I hate them, it's just that I really can't stand to be around them. Sticky fingers.
