When I was young, "tranny" or "shemale" were not considered particularity pejorative and people had really no respect or acceptance of the transgenderism concept in general. But now we have people like Rachel Dolezal actually opening a dialog about "transracialism", transgender has become the new gay, a thing you need to accept fully and embrace or else being faced as labeled as a bigot. At this rate things are going to just keep sliding until, say in 5-10 years, things like otherkin and "fictionkin" and all that will become more and more accepted and promoted by the "civil rights" and SJW crowd as the next forefront for their activism. However using gene splicing (exchanging a couple of genes with another plants) you can give potatoes resistance to blight, securing harvests in countries that need them.
For the number of people on the planet to continue to rise, we'll need more food. If we want more food we're going to have to give up our shitty opinions on what we believe is "natural" and what isn't.

My pet theory is that reblogs are better for circlejerking than likes. If somebody makes political signals on facebook, they might get a dozen or two dozen likes, and that's the extent of it. Whereas if somebody signals on tumblr, each person who reblogs it passes it on and give it more exposure, so the result is a single stupid post can spread like plague. It's an attention whore's wet dream
I think David Karp's original idea is that this would spread ideas like art, music, etc, and that it would be more like early myspace or even blogger than facebook, and for the first two or three years it actually kinda was, but things spiraled out of control as time went on

That first article is somewhat suspicious, considering how this is Samantha Brick, whose claim to fame is being on Big Brother and writing for the Daily Mail. It's possible that she's ghost-writing for an actual business owner who tried this out and failed miserably, but it's still suspicious.
The sources the second infograph uses are credible, but the conclusions the infograph reaches are kinda screwy. That study mostly concerned itself with cultural and age diversity, not gender diversity. Lower productivity at extremely high (and low) percentages of female workers does exist, but was shown as insignificant.
Damn useful for trolling people, but both are about as logically sound as any /pol/fograph.
