Eh, the original was alright enough. It had a creepy atmosphere and the animatronics were legitimately just creepy. Yeah, the scares were just jumpscares, but they weren't random - they only got you when you messed up. It was tense and a bit scary, and all in all it was fairly well put-together for what it was. It was on sale for $2.50 on launch, and that was a fair price, I suppose. I think it would have been better as a free flash game, in all honesty.
The sequels have been a constant milking of a cash cow and just end up being tiring. I mean, the "toy" animatronics in two were kinda creepy in their own right, but 3 and 4 are just dumb. I'm sick of FNAF. The only reason the creator keeps pumping them out is because of the rabid fanbase, and even then they don't hardly even buy the games. They watch their favorite LPers scream at it over the course of 5 videos and then go obsess over it on Tumblr. The 4 games together have only sold a few thousand copies in total.
