A fair portion of /pol/ (and most sites/board in general) really have an intense problem with believing in memes without understanding any messages that may have been intended. Like the comments about the Jews. When you see various anti-white articles being published it is true that you'll often find the author has a Jewish name, but that doesn't mean all Jews are out to commit genocide against whites. It's more that there has been the idea throughout the years that Jewish people should be considered separate from white people and the push to consider themselves victims for the rest of eternity because holocaust. So Jewish have really been set in this culture of victimhood for decades which is really much the same as what you see today with some SJWs/feminists/culturual Marxists. You can't really go into that on /pol/ though without someone saying you're JIDF or shill or whatever else, because they've so firmly set in their minds that it's just worth repeating memes than analyzing the reasons for behavior.
When people start enjoying memes too much they just start turning off the critical thinking parts of their brain. It makes them feel good about believing what they do, but they don't have to think about why they're feeling good or why they're believing the meme. Helps to devolve conversations to just being about ad hominems than serious arguments.

Yeah those are the meme spouting idiots I refer to. There are some legitimate 'conspiracy' type situations like with George Soros paying for people to act as protesters or immigration activists, but the meme spouting idiots seem to just focus in on any opportunity to spout a meme rather than add anything to a discussion.
/pol/ used to be a lot better about this kind of thing, but if you want a taste of what things used to be like you should really check out /n/. It seems like as the board morphed from /n/ to /news/ to /pol/ on 4chan that things just got worse and worse, as the people interested in talking about politics or the news went off to other sites like operatorchan and plus4chan (though people popped on back as new boards came around).
