"Autistic Fandoms General" seems to be going over pretty well, so I think I'm gonna try something in the same vein. Some fag made a similar thread to this but the fucking idiot ruined it in the first fucking post by outright denying mental illness even existed, which is like denying the existence of gravity or the sun.

This thread is for the general discussion of "mental illnesses" and the way they effect lolpigs and even the lives of some of you fine people replying.

The vast majority of people with mental illnesses aren't bad at all. If you treat mental illness with therapy and medication you can live a normal life and be perfectly happy.

But then there's the fuckers who refuse to take their goddamn medicine, deny there's anything wrong with them and just turn into horrible, insufferable, awful cunts who ruin lives and destroy themselves. The fucking selfish, self-centered cunts who make everyone miserable and ruin everything because all they can fucking think about is themselves.

I'm talking about hoarders who fill their houses up with shit and make it so their families have to climb over mountains of bullshit to use the goddamn fridge and can't clean anything without triggering a massive meltdown, about organized stalking "victims" who chase after their neighbor's kids because their shirt is the wrong color and apparently that's an attack against them, or even just your bipolar mother who made a massive scene and threatened suicide at your goddamn wedding because nobody was paying attention to her.

For the purpose of this thread, I'll ask you five questions. You can answer which ever ones you want in any order, or just ignore them and talk about retards on the internet.

1. Do you have a mental illness? How do you cope?

2. Has some with a mental illness effected your life in some way? Did they lose your sympathy?

3. What mental illness breeds the most interesting lolpigs?

4. Is there a type of mental illness that you believe disqualifies some from being a lolpig because it's just too severe?

Metabolic delirium. If you suffer from that, you believe anything you told. I learned from a book by a psychiatrist about this illness. The author depicted a case were a guy with metabolic delirium was put into a cell with some schizophrenic guy who was obsessed about a little transparent gnome with gears in the head he believed in and tried to find and catch all the time. After short while delirium guy was looking for the transparent gnome too because he heard the shizo sperging about it for hours. A person with such a disorder is kinda low hanging fruit, right?

Are there any schizophrenic lolpigs? Most if not all lolpigs seem to be autistic and other mental illnesses are underrepresented.

But to answer this question in a slightly different way: BPD seems to be the trendiest thing to self-diagnose yourself as over at dumblr right now.

We've got people unironically making URLS with the formula bpd-[fictional character's name here], and those shitty "that bpd feel when" posts.

Also, except to be mauled apart by tumblrinas if you're ever caught using the term "favorite person" unless you are officially self-diagnosed with bpd.

Yes. The only medication that has a significant effect without medicating me into a complete stupor is Clozapine. Unfortunately one of the side effects is Leukopenia so I need to have my blood screened weekly, and if there is a sudden drop in white blood cell count I have to be temporarily taken off the medication until my immune system recovers.

I have lost family to depression. The didn't lose my sympathy.

It seems unfair to blame them for a large amount of this themselves (depending on the illness), as some of them being cunts, self-centred and so on can be traced right back to them being mentally unstable. That said in my view It's obviously still ok to laugh if it's funny.

With the hoarding for example, of course a hoarder's going to hoard. They're a hoarder. That doesn't make it any less fascinating to look at all the shit they do.

Questions:

1. Yes, quite probably multiple (diagnosed depression, suspected sperg.), i don't cope by normal standards.

2. Technically I knew someone else with depression online, he was an asshole, but I'm pretty sure that was down to something other than illness. Also knew a guy with NPD, couldn't help but find him charming.

3. Going to guess autism, schizophrenia might be more fascinating in certain cases.

4. Low-functioning autism, probably. (Not from a moral standpoint, just that it's unlikely they'd generate interesting cocks.)

5. Gender dysphoria, although most of the pigs it attracts don't actually have it.

BPD for sure, it breeds some of the most interesting and at the same time most destructive pigs

They seem to have (or share) a lot with histrionic disorder types so they crave for attention all the fucking time

But because they are mostly nutjobs with no talent that translates into some fairly interesting fuckups that are entertaining to watch…………of course until you are in the receiving end of their bullshit

Case in point zoe and gamers: it was hilarious for them hearing how she was catching every drop of semen in the indie scene with her face for some coverage for her ebook "game" full of shit grammar, but when she messed up with vidya and gamers themselves they stopped laughing, because now zoe was taking her shit and instead of eating as her usual psychotic rants went she was smearing the entire games industry with it, and everybody there had to deal with the aftermath of that.
