So I want to get into growing Mushrooms.

No I don't mean for psychedelics or 420blazeit. I just feel like it would be something enjoyable to do, and maybe grow primarily for cooking and edible reasons. Like Oyster Mushrooms and so on.

Have any materials, sources or advice on how or where to start? I live in an apartment, so indoor growing would be preferable and ideal.

Oyster mushrooms are easy to grow. They got these really simple boxes full of live mycelleum and grow stupid easy. Pretty good way to get your feet wet. Learn about mycelleum, fruiting, keeping it wet, harvesting, etc. Eventually move on to mixing and sterilizing your own substrate and fruiting chamber. Lots of kits online.

An oldie but a goody, includes gems like "The industry is one in which women and children can take part as well as men."

If you want to grow oysters you can you use a method called PF tek, which is normally used for psychedelic cubensis mushrooms, but also works very well for oysters. You can find detailed info on the process and method on shroomery, where you can also find many more methods for edible, non-psychedellic mushrooms.

Basically, you'll need a pressure cooker and a bunch of wide mouth Mason jars, plus a substrate (a growth medium), which for oysters can be coffee grounds, hay, or, for the PF cake method, brown rice flour and vermiculite..

Good luck

I've only ever successfully grown and eaten cucumbers and potatoes. My pepper plants are still alive but they never got past the seedling stage for some reason, the tomatoes on my tomato plants are still unripe and I'm pretty sure the onions and mint are edible but I haven't bothered to harvest them yet.

How do you progag8 m8?
I've never grown from cuttings before, would like to learn how someday.

oh and yeah, that combination is a classic. I just leave out the vinegar because I don't like it that much, but even olive oil on its own with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella is delicious
Basil goes well with tomato in most dishes

propagating via cuttings generally depends on the plant. Some can't physically do it, others are difficult about it and require rooting hormone, and some do it like it's second to breathing.

Do some research on the cutting-ability of the plant you're looking into(should be plenty on it if it can). Generally a rooting hormone on any plant that *can* propagate via cuttings will make it near-100% proabability
