Figured I could make a thread for this. Valve made a blog post with updated statistics for the main map pool.

Dust 2 still manages to be one of the most perfectly balanced maps of all time.

Cobblestone is hard to plant but easy to defend.

Cache is easy to plant but hard to defend.

Hostage maps are a completely different scenario when it comes to balance really. By design, the Ts need to have immediate control over the hostage locations, and the CTs have to walk right into it.

With bomb defuse maps you have kind of a half-and-half where once site is owned by CTs immediately, and the other is often immediately contested depending on arrival times.
