I actually did kinda hope they would find out they were gay for each other. But I guess with Cartman jacking off to the idea of getting fucked by Cupid Me, that's not going to happen. One character being revealed to be a fag is a lot, don't think they'll make these two gay on top of it. I do wonder whether they will allude to it / have Craig & Tweek pretend to be gay in future episodes.

It was funny but I honestly don't think it's that much better than any of the other episodes this season. I liked it and it's solid but it's got a lot to live up to with how amazing this season's been. The fact that there was deviantart tier fan art doesn't really change that for me. Some of it was pretty well drawn but I don't know. Some of it was only okay and other art was downright ugly but I tend to be a little judgmental when it comes to western art.

Well, this season has been pretty good so far, that's true. As some reviewer said, this episode was a bit mroe stand alone(-ish). IMO a small break from the anti-SJW was fine, wouldn't want the season to get too repetitive (even thoguh they are doing god's work).

Shit is yours but people re-interpret it how they wish. You can't stop it, but how do you deal with it? Apparently, Parker and Stone deal with it by taking your interpretation and running with it themselves. Which is not only a description of what happened IRL, but also in the episode. And to boot, they give the fans an opportunity to show their ideas to the world and be part of the show. These guys are gentlemen and scholars.

With all that, it's the presence of the fanart that counts, not really the quality.

It's just porn and/or sappy romances of the sort that tend to appeal to women. That said, multiple statistics indicate about 15% of yaoi readers are male. That means it's no less appealing to gay/bi males than it is to women, once you take into account that there are more women in the world than gay/bi guys.

I think many people who say this kind of thing just want an excuse to cast moral opprobrium on it because it is foreign or because some fat chicks like it or whatever.

That's a good point.

Still, don't be pissy about what yaoi fangirls turn homosexuality into. Gays are allowed to have that "straight guy turns gay for a gay guy" porn, which is just about equally unrealistic. It's just a fantasy, not a statement about the whole of particular sexuality.

Tweek x Craig was just an episode to tip their hat to the fujoshi and yaoi fangirls here in America. Plus Trey seemed like he was dying to speak a lot more moonspeak.

Tweek x Craig is actually a big pairing, just under Style, and Kyman.

And seeing as Tweek hasn't had an episode in a very long time and Craig is the butt of the joke since The Startling. This was a perfect pairing to do.

The episode talked about how much the Chinese hate the Japanese (and vice verse)

Gay rights (the boys understanding what is gay, and how people become gay, and especially Craig's father accepting him)

PC/SJW/Liberals not treating gays equal.

It's beyond just the Tweek and Craig, that was just there to get people to freak out, and laugh.

And because South Park this season has been in full-drive on recurrent storylines (episodic in a way), they had to use minor characters that had a presence to the fanbase. And since Pip hasn't been seen since his supposed death, Damian has been reduced to a background character, and Butters has already had a lot of episodes, plus him being in slow cosby with the canadian, it just wouldn't make sense to push Cartman x Butters or Kenny x Butters.

Where are you getting this?

If that was the case, they would have focused on the girls more. They were more of a driving force to cause an issue to happen. They weren't vilified in some manner, and they weren't praised in an ironic matter. They were there to push the story from

Segment A: They made Craig x Tweek appear gay

Segment B:They re-enforced Craig to be the bad guy in order for Tweek to see he made a mistake and tries to make amends with it.

The only evidence that could support your claim would be

Cartman x Butters is a pairing you think would work, but would just be an abusive relationship. Then again Butters seems to have no idea how much people ( even more so Cartman) uses him. So I guess he's a very willing sub in his personality.

The last time I remember Craig being in the main plot was the guinea pig one. That was a few years ago too. Like 4-5? Shit has it been that long since I watched this show?
