That is probably the appropriate thread. From what I know, you should use lube, basically just read up on reviews … durex/FF/etc, just to name a few.

No you don't always need condoms for sex toys as long as you are able to sanitize them somehow.

That picture looks incredibly painful (and dangerous) though. And it's not even in all the way.

>what size is the best for beginners?

Normal sized, like around 6in/16cm, and shaped like a penis.

If it's too big, use your fingers until your bum gets used to taking things in. Also clip your fingernails if they are long and file them if they are pointed.

It's better to get a normal sized toy because small toys are boring/useless once you have practice, and big toys run the risk of you hurting yourself if you go too far.

>also any other tips?

Take things very slowly.

Don't expect to take the whole toy on the first session.

Use lots and lots and lots of lube.

If you see a little bit of blood on your fingers or the toy, stop. It means you're doing damage, so quit the session, and either try again very carefully in a few hours, or start again in a few days.

Poop a few hours before. Then use a douche/showerhead/bottle to fill your bum with water. After holding it for a few minutes (or as long as you can) poop the water into the toilet, and do it again until the water comes out clear. Wait another 20 minutes and try to poop again to get rid of any left over water that might be stuck in your bum.

>what lube should i buy,how much?

Don't buy the expensive or cheap stuff, find a happy medium.

Get water-based or hybrid lubricant, it dries up faster than silicone lubricant but that can be avoided by using more.

You don't need the greasy or long-lasting lubricants unless you are going to fist yourself, so don't waste your money because fisting is really advanced buttplay.

DO NOT USE SILICONE LUBRICANT ON SILICONE TOYS, it will damage the toy (and a chemical reaction in your insides can't be good).

Recommend "Gun Oil" lubricant, it isn't too expensive, comes in small bottles, is safe for toys, doesn't dry too fast, and the label peels off to show how much you have left.

>do i need condoms too?

No, you're wasting money with condoms on toys. Unless the toy is penis shaped it will probably tear anyway and get in the way, and cleaning toys is easy cause you just need to wash thoroughly with hot water and soap, or buy a disinfecting toy cleaner.

>i heard they are also lubed…

Lubed condoms are for vaginal sex. Anal sex and play always needs lots of extra lubricant to prevent tearing, and you aren't going to find the amount you need in a condom packet.

Also, sorry for the TLDR. Just buy a normal sized dildo and a good water-based lube, take your time, and have fun.

I started buying sex toys when I was 18 and I say go for it. Start with something easy like an anal probe like the one in the picture. Then moving onto other once. It's better to buy them at sex shops where you can make sure they are good quality.

Seriously, do you want your colleagues to see you walking into a sex shop?

I highly recommend olive oil as a lubricant. It's safe and lasts a long time. I've heard good things about coconut oil, too, but it isn't as easy to find.

It's fairly hard to get a prostate orgasm from a dildo in my experience, especially when first starting off.

Maybe try a prostate massager if that's your goal

 No.232173

Start with a small toy unless you've already been poking your butt with your fingers/sharpies/whatever else you have around the home. If you're already familiar with it, you can go straight for a medium-sized toy if that's the direction you want to go in.

You'll definitely need lubricant. Toys can be of all sorts of different materials and some lubricants (like silicone-based lubes and oils >>232085 is recommending) can damage certain materials. Water-based lubricants will never damage your toys and are the safest to use. Because you probably won't keep track of what toy is made of what material, just use water-based lubricants. All water-based lubricants are largely indistinguishable if you're new so just pick whatever is cheapest.

You don't absolutely have to use a condom on your toys, but it makes cleaning them up afterwards really fucking easy. Non-porous materials (like metals and glass) are easier to clean than porous materials (like plastics), but those tend to be more expensive and have a different feel to them. Condoms are not lubricated enough to allow for anal use. You'll still need lubricant even if you get lubed condoms.

Hope that helps OP!

What materials are damaged by olive and coconut oil? I've never heard of something like that happening.

Different oils degrade different rubbers. Knowing exactly what types would require like a chemical engineering background, though I can give you a well-documented specific example: oil will degrade latex condoms to the point of failure (i.e. the condom becomes porous enough to exchange bodily fluids). So as a general rule for myself, I just don't use oils near my toys.

If you are new to butt play start with your fingers and looooots of lube, also be hygienic with your qt butt and dont put all you see inside of it.

Look first if you enjoy anal play if you do after some time playing with it then get a dildo and not the bigger one start with a little first.

And take things with patience cause if you hurt your butt you are fucked.
