Hey, /cuteboys/.

Recently, I've been feeling the need to embrace my cuter and softer side. I've been pushing myself to be more masculine than I really am and it's gotten tiring.

I've been trying to find clothes that I can wear that have a more feminine side to them. I'm no stranger to incorporating women's clothes into my own wardrobe, so if the suggestions come from those types of places that's fine.

I'm looking more for something that I can wear out rather than naughty things, but those things can be nice too, I guess.

So, what are some of your favorite places to go shopping?

Assuming you want regular fashion advice, what kind of body type do you have? Slim is ideal.

Slim is basically what I have.

I'm actually working on trying to gain a bit of weight at the moment.

I tend to wear extra smalls/smalls in mens clothes.

Thank you!

Although, you say that, but the actual reason is because I have a slight case of marfan syndrome.

Not enough to really cause physical pain, and not to the point of making me look like Javier Botet, but enough to make me really damn skinny.

This getting into why I'm trying to gain at least a bit of weight. :S

Wow, well that'd explain why I look like a hagraven.

Well, that might not be what you have, necessarily.

There's a few other things that can make you look really thin. Eating disorders, ehlers danlos, that type of thing. Andm like with many things, there's ways around it if you put in the time and effort.

Anyways, more on topic. Is H&M really the end all be all of clothes stores for this type of thing?

I went to the mall the other day and while I picked out a shirt, a vest, and a cute sweater, I couldn't really find anything that really wowed me. Could just be my location, as I imagine shopping online is going to be the thing to do.

Ah so you're pretty small like me. Here's some basics you should start with:

>black skinny jeans

I'm 5'4" and wear size 16-18 size boys pants, and abercrombie kids has really decent jeans for the price so you might want to check them out.

>plain color tees (or button ups if that's your thing)

Make sure they sit just below the belt, have a bit of drape and are comfortable on you.

>chunky sweat shirts and/or sweaters

Since you're small and thin a slightly oversized top is comfy, compliments your size and gives a good drape. The cute factor is in the "aw he must be wearing his bf's sweater look how small he is"

>versatile shoes

Keep them simple, plain and in either black or white

Make sure everything fits you well, not too tight and not too loose. A huge part of a good cute outfit is how your clothes lay on you. Get a tailor if necessary.

Also keep in mind of the colors. Try to avoid bright flashy colors that only go well with 1-2 fits. If you want to look like an anime character by wearing flashy stuff without knowing how to dress yourself you're going end up looking super cringey. For your basic wardrobe you want to mix and match as many different things as possible. So pick out classic colors such as navy, black, gray, white and tan. Once you learn the basics of how to mix and match, construct fits and arrange color pallets then you can move on to flashier, more colorful things.

Other items to consider after you obtain a simple basic wardrobe if they interest you:

>scoop neck tees

>cardigans

>leather boots

>parka jackets

>military jackets

>scarfs

Things to avoid:

>cargo shorts

>sports shoes when you're not doing sports

>basketball shorts you're not playing basketball

>shit with noticeable logos on them

>when in public, fetish wear such as high thigh socks, chokers, arm/leg warmers, collars, bows, etc.

>animal ear hats, tails, etc.

>menswear

Yeah, from my experience you can (very) occasionally pick up some good stuff at the shops. I have relatively unusual taste though.

Shopping online definitely gives you more choice with the potential drawback of extortionate shipping fees, which you're likely already familiar with.

The only thing worth avoiding here is your fashion advice.

Sure. I should have said that at the end of the day how you dress is very personal. You don't have to listen to my advice, it's just a suggestion as a way to get started.

If you have an idea what you want to wear discard my advice but OP sounded like he didn't know where to start so I posted my personal opinion on how to start.

Your advice wasn't awful, especially since I made it seem like I had no idea of what I was doing.

I guess I should post up some examples of things I've been looking at:

…I swear I have nothing against adding color into my wardrobe.

Some things here can be toned up or down, but this type of stuff is mostly what I have at the moment.

Big sweaters with tank-tops, classy but effeminate outfits that can be tweaked and made more overtly feminine if necessary.

This is at least the basics of what I'm looking at.

A-am I doing well?

So you want to look Asian?

Not really.

The people here aren't as important as the clothes.

I live in Florida where most people call it a day at a T-shirt, cargo shorts, and flip-flops.

It just so happens that the other end of the spectrum happens to be in largely asian countries.

Also, when this type of shit happens, you start looking elsewhere:
