Fuck razors, epilators or waxing.

These things are fucking amazing. I mean sure the effect only lasts a day or two but holy shit it cuts way closer than even a razor and there's no need for a lubricant, you don't even get razor burn or a gross rash like when waxed hair grows back.

You could spend 20 minutes every 2 days doing your whole body and be smooth as fuck all year round.

from what I've heard, it should last longer than two days. like a few weeks iirc. maybe you just have fast-growing hair

anyways, is there a good, affordable epilator available online? I need one to de-winterize my legs

also, is there a good infograph or something on waxing your face? I know basically nothing on that

 No.240724

like, what' i'm looking to do is a regular routine with body-epilating & facial waxing

but I'll still wax my body on a monthly or so basis

>from what I've heard, it should last longer than two days. like a few weeks iirc. maybe you just have fast-growing hair

I'm talking about the shaver head attachment for epilators, stubble starts to grow after a day or two for me.

>anyways, is there a good, affordable epilator available online?

I bought a Phillips Satinelle for £10 off ebay, it's 4 years old but works perfectly.

I've tried waxing, razors, removal cream and JUST bought an epilator this week. You're now telling me there's a better solution?

Your epilator didn't come with a shaver head attachment?

Shaver head attachment for an epilator.

I suppose a mens electric razor does the same thing.

I shave all my hair with my sharpened kitchen knife

 No.240965

I just shaved my legs for the first time and I love how smooth it is, but I cut myself fairly badly and obviously the results aren't going to last very long. How effective is Nair? Does it get absolutely everything? Does it get the hair down to the root and last longer than shaving or does it just remove the hair from the surface?

 No.240970

>>240965

Fuck, never mind. I give up. Fighting against my gender and maintaining this shit would just be impossible. I wish I didn't have this mental illness desire to occasionally be female.

 No.240994

use nair, dont give up.

 No.240995

>I mean sure the effect only lasts a day or two

I fucking hate people with soft, slow-growing body hair. If I shave with something like that, I'm prickly again within six hours. Even using an actual razor so it's as close to the skin as possible, at most I get 12 hours before I turn into a goddamn porcupine.

 No.241000

>>240995

This :(

But my skin is also incredibly sensitive and I cut too easily when shaving, so the best I can do is run a foil shaver over most places and then just get the tougher areas with a razor.

do epilators work with your face? or do i only gotta wax?

The only reason I don't shave more is because it's so much goddamn work and precision with a razor, it's so much to keep up with the face/crotch/ass/legs that I feel like I have to spend hours every couple of days to stay smooth.

I use a razor, and I think I'm allergic to Nair due to some reactions I've gotten from using it.

Will an electric razor actually help me

do epilators work with your face? or do i only gotta wait for waxing? also, do you do it like after a hot shower to open pores or something?

 No.241179

>>241061

Electric razors will still leave you stubbly, and maybe it's just me but I get much worse irritation from them than using a razor.

I don't know much about epilators but it seems you need to actually have hair growth for it to be able to pull out the hairs, so it can't be used to stay constantly smooth.

I think the only way to be as smooth as possible is to get a full body wax somewhere, but I have no idea how expensive or time consuming that would be.

Fighting against body hair is a losing battle and I give up :(

Yes and no, the No is using general purpose epilators. The Yes is a very careful use of "Bikini Zone" Epilators on the lower settings. Avoid using it on the area around your lips use a tweezer for that, I suggest loading up a video to help pass the time. Also post epilating skincare is crucial if all is done right you should only have one day of redness that can be easily masked by make-up if you so choose.

From what I hear it only works on dark hair and you have to use it dozens of times over the course of months before hair will actually stop growing permanently.

 No.242071

>>241896

No, unless you already have thin hair IPL isn't going to do shit for your hair. Better pay sesions with Alexandrita-type laser, that shit removed ALL my face hair and I'm just in my second session. Paid $400 for 8 sessions, but it really worth it.

 No.242072

okay, I don't have shit tomorrow, so tonight I'm going to exfoliate my skin and tomorrow i'm going to try and fully epilate the rest of my arms, my legs, my feet, and my torso

wish me luck

Be careful and patient, you REALLY don't want to hurry and end with gross marks in your legs like I did.

 No.242388

ughh I hate shaving my inner thighs so much they always leave me red bumps, there and a little over my benis are the only places that cause me such trouble do you guys have any tip for this? other shaving methods will help?

 No.242407

>>242388

Stretch the skin to make it as taught as you can, The redness comes from the razor dragging the hair which stretches the skin which irritates the follicle leading to redness.

Avoid shaving against the grain if you still get red bumps.

I shaved everywhere, partly out of boredom and partly out of wanting to be cute, and my chest is covered in little black specks because I'm dark haired. How can I be cute like this?

 No.243708

 No.243715

Doesn't an epilator require some hair growth to work though? I would want to be smooth all the time. You're right though, I think I'll give up this cute malarkey and starting working out to be more of a man.

Ok so apparently ingrown hairs are still a problem with epilating. I exfoliate before and after epilating but they're still growing back under the skin. see pic related of my leg, it's fucking terrible.

I'm seriously ready to give up. I thought epilation was the cure to my hairy problems.

 No.243744

>>243742

What's your epilating routine like?

 No.243745

>>243744

I can only epilate when I get the opportunity of an empty house so it's usually quite rushed and I don't get much time to finish but I try my best to do it properly.

I exfoliate in the bath the night before and epilate in the morning. My leg is usually really red and sore afterwards so I rinse it with cold water and exfoliate a little with a cloth, pat dry with a towel and moisturise to finish. I never get completely smooth results, it still feels a little rough and stubbly when feeling against the grain, but I contribute that to my cheap epilator.

 No.244554

Doesn't Epilating hurt way more though? That's what I've heard at least…

 No.244706

ok i thing this is the appropriate thread to make this question

what do you do when you shave?

i hate that shadow on face, so i wanna know what you guys do
