The answer is actually fucking yes. Your fasle sense of security is quaint. If doxing can do you damage, you have bigger problems you're unwilling to address (the fragility of your situation, for instance).
I could exploit this board right now and exfiltrate your drive contents via browser vuln, then show up at your house. The same goes for damn near any website. Seriously, anyone can buy the exploits too if they have a little cash. Have you planned for this contengency? I have. Thats security. Trying to hide in the online panopticon? All the popular code is so insecure even VMs have exploits available. Any phone baseband is so insecure all it takes is a multimedia message to give an attacker root right now. Pinning a map with your general location should be the least of your worries.
Your security isn't if you're scared of a meetup. The best defense is a good offense.

>>14237 said: Only a dumbass would meet someone they met online somewhere other than a public place.
It is far more important, in the interest of resisting state oppression, to have comrades than to potentially be slightly more secure so long as the State is uninterested enough in you to not use its vast resources to find you. One can isolate themselves and hide from the world, but they're not going to change anything doing so and they're only going to put off whatever bad shit is happening in society from reaching them.
No.14265
>>14234How do you really know it exists, privacy and security?
Between yourself and the server serving you this content, do you personally know any of the individuals or corporations supposedly safeguarding the privacy and security of your information? Do you know the people inside of the central offices where your data flows before being aggregated onto the backbone of the net? How about the backbone providers and their facilities, who do you know there?
Not to say that your idea isn't smart. It is. But how far do you believe in it? How far have you tested it? How much have you invested in discovering whether your concept of privacy was real or imagined?
Not saying you're wrong. Just saying you need to question what you think you know. The deeper you hold the belief, the further you should challenge it.
Then you'll see.

Any takers?

No shit. Fellow ACTanon here, this city is cyber as shit. Above ground its all manicured and peaceful, its basically elisium, below ground its a network of bombproof tunnels connecting military bases, government bunkers, and datacenters full of spooks. Having been in some of those deep underground datacenters, they are literally built to keep out ninjas and drilling equipment.
You ever get into cave clan anon? This city has the sickest tunnels to explore, you can make it into the old departmental tunnel network if you're smart about it, you just gotta dodge the carts and robots running along the roads down there. Where the tunnels meet the library there are robotic librarians roaming in pitch black archives. Parliament house is the most expensive capitol building in the world, and its a huge sprawling expanse underground. That new military headquarters they dont talk about is rumoured to descend a kilometre straight down. You been in guy fawkes tunnel yet anon? Been to the underground chapel? Toured the nuclear bunkers? Shit is schway as fuck.
