Is this great or what?
Seems like a thing /cyber/ will enjoy.
No.23816
I'm not sure how cyberpunk it is, but it's retro 80's bullshit with synth music so good enough for me.
It's pretty great, especially for something crowd funded. And it's awesome that they released it for free. It's things like this that make me want to habeeb that crowd funding is the stirrings of some radical changes in capitalism that will lead up to its downfall, but then again it's still pretty rare for crowd funded campaigns to end up anything more than the people taking the brouzouf and running with it. Star Citizen will be the defining crowd funded project, mark my words; if it ends up being shit, people will become incredibly cynical about crowd funding and it will probably die off, but otherwise it will probably become a lot more common.
But anyways, what was the budget for this?

>But anyways, what was the budget for this?
Turns out it was about $600,000. That's pretty good for a movie like this. Making movies that aren't found footage horror shit tends to be pretty expensive.

not bad. somehow reminds me of regular show.

I came in skeptical thinking this was another cheap brouzouf grab on the neo 80s wave. After the first ten minutes, and the phone shooting scene, it finally clicked for me.

Eh, there is a certain point where even self awareness doesn't stop a "bad movie" from being a bad movie. bad movies are enjoyable because someone actually thought it was a good idea and put the effort into making it. This just felt so fake and forced with it's "random" humor.

It's shit but makes me really want to watch some cheesy cyberpunk '80s/'90s movies. What are some good ones? Not well known ones like tron that everybody's seen and not modern so-bad-it's-really-bad, "ironic"ally cheesy stuff.
