What is Space Station 13?

SS13 is a robust multiplayer point-and-click about surviving a shift in the uniform of a NanoTrasen space station employee set in the near-future. Combat a variety of threats to fire safety such as insane space cultists, dirty traitors, homicidal cyborgs, incompetent engineers, and the clown. Or just hide in a locker the entire shift and read Woody's Got Wood over the station intercom.

Where can I play?

8chan's current official server is HateStation. You'll need to download and install BYOND to connect and play.

No, the client indeed requires Windows or WINE to run. The Github is for the server's DM code, which can be run on a Linux system using BYOND's DreamDaemon release for Linux.

BYOND itself is proprietary software unfortunately.

Cyberpunk deals with earthly stuff, and it isn't just "the future". Space, specially deep space and/or living in an exoplanet are all post-cyberpunk/sci-fi themes, not actual cyberpunk.

However, since the board is for sci-fi too, it makes sense to keep this thread.
