I NEEED HELP FINDING THE MOST CYBER PUNK CITY IN AMERICA PLOX

 No.29522

>not really sure about America, but Shanghai and Tokyo seem pretty /cyber/

 No.29525

Seattle is known for being a tech city.

 No.29539

>>29525

It's also full of SJWs and hipster shazbots.

 No.29549

>>29539

>no hipster sjw shazbots

>cyberpunk city

Pick one.

 No.29564

>>29497

Seattle is agreed upon to be pretty cyber aesthetically, and not at all a bad area for the liberal-minded.

 No.29569

>>29564

Which means it's a shit area for people who like freedom.

 No.29586

>>29569

>being so wrapped up in the left-right dichotomy that he interprets "liberal-minded" as the opposite of it's actual meaning

They've got you down to a Pavlovian response. You hear the word "liberal" and start growling.

 No.29588

>>29586

How edgy and wise of you!

I'd have said the same thing if it was a highly conservative state. But no, the state that passed I-594 is a shit place. And Seattle is filled with SJW cunts. I'd never live there.

 No.29648

Seattle has has a cyberpunk feel but is mostly shazbots and is is a cowtown compared to New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and even Kansas City.

Anything other than those 5 cities in America isnt worth mentioning. I lived in Indy for a while, not really cyberpunk but if you're into crime and decay with a homely Midwestern feel that's you're city. Joliet too. Shitholes. Those are the only 7 cities I've ever lived in, the rest are probably worse. New York, Seattle, or KC are your best bets for gritty high tech low life

 No.29659

>>29586

Sounds like you haven't been living in the real world then.

 No.29660

>>29648

>tfw i live in the south and am surrounded by people that can barely use a computer.

Oddly enough it's also the home of Red Hat…

 No.29662

>>29660

I guess you have Austin but that's even more of a hipster shazbot shithole than Seattle with less tech, and Atlanta is the Detroit of the south so I wouldn't live there for anything, I'd move north if I were you

 No.29663

>>29648

Chicago is an underrated city tbh, highest skyline in the US (unless OWTC changes that, I don't even know if that's done, I'm out of the loop). Lots of post-modern architecture dotted around the city and some pretty contemporary stuff too.

 No.29664

>>29662

I wish i had Austin, I wish i lived in TX.

But sadly no i live in NC.

Raleigh NC is Red Hat HQ btw.

 No.29672

>>29659

Holy fuck pol can you go? You really just kill the immershun of this place

 No.29673

>>29664

Raleigh? Really? Raleigh always struck me as a terrible place where nothing happens.

 No.29675

>>29539

As someone who lives there, it's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

 No.29682

>>29675

Maybe it's because I've only been to the parts where my counsins live. They're pretty poor.

 No.29729

I say NYC, live there. /cyber/ af. But hipsters. But it looks like they are migrating out.

 No.31050

So it's between Seattle and New York then?

I want to move to the States, and those two seem similar to where I live anyway especially as far as the weather goes, so this actually helps.

 No.31052

Detroit.

Think about it: a city that grew entirely around and from megacorps, which has now fallen to anarchy and ruin, and is slowly building back up through the actions of many individuals. You could move there and start a high-speed ISP and get the city on the net. Or you could do it guerilla style, hijacking and repairing existing infrastructure for your own use.

It also seems like the perfect place to manufacture your army of killer robots or something.

IMO, urban decay is cyber as fuck.

 No.31058

Salt lake city

 No.31095

>>31058

Explain.

 No.31097

>>31095

It's where SLCyberpunk took place

 No.31103

File: 1439948205551.jpg (87.52 KB, 800x533, 800:533, 6900329.jpg)

Venezuela is the best Cyberpunk place for you if you wanna live on a full corrupted country, low salary for common people, high prizes on everything, every shit you say against the gob triggers him and they are aware what you search on internet.

One day they blocked Twitter for the users from his own internet provider called CANTV, due to the high flow of bad comments about the goberment.

Pic from Caracas city.

 No.31140

What about Las Vegas?

It has lots of pretty lights

 No.31141

Opinions on Slab City?

 No.31144

>>31103

just no, that city has one of the highest murders per capita in the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_by_murder_rate

just to give you an idea Detroit is 22nd and Ciudad Juarez is 27th.

Caracas is number 2 on the list!

 No.31147

>>29497

the only one i can really think of isn't even a city, but an area: times square

probably the only cyberpunk like place in america

i'm moving to tokyo next month entirely because it gives the biggest cyber erection

 No.31157

>>31144

What are you? a pussy?

 No.31159

>>31144

>impliying a city needs to be peacefull to be /cyber/

 No.31160

We should all just move to the same city and make it cyber

 No.31167

 No.31179

>>31141

Very punk, anti-cyber. most people there dislike technology and associate it with the ills of the modern world. That's not to say it couldn't become /cyber/. I'm thinking of buying some land out in the desert for the sake of cheap property alone. Just have to figure out a way to get good connection and, I'll make my plan more concrete.

 No.37567

The only city in the US that seems dense enough is Manhattan.
