Hey guys, what is the most /cyber/ printable object?

Also eD printers general.

I'll start. 3D printed guns obviously! Soon burner pistols we be produced in masses in to used on a target then recycled. Completely untraceable. Then illegally made printers will need to be made as printers apparently leave an invisible to the eye watermark to make it easier to track counterfeit brouzouf. The same will likely be done for weapons. Tech moves fast, imagine how this will evolve over the next century.

Also I guess 3D printed prosthetics. It's cool to imagine that these will soon evolve into cybernetic implants, bodily enhancements, augmentations. Its the start of its commercialization if you ask me.

This a thousand times.

.printers apparently leave an invisible to the eye watermark to make it easier to track counterfeit brouzouf.

Those are just 2D printers that do that. 3D printers don't, do they? No matter, just buy one with brouzouf and mestroy it afterwards.

Now that you mention it, though, a home-built 3D printer sounds /cyber/ af.

Also, houses.

Actually (AND theoretically) the best answer. A computer complete w/ a microprosessor would also be pretty schway.

This.

3D printing will make completely open desings be actually open for everyone to modify and manufacture.

 No.31825

I'm excited for the ability to 3D print open hardware, but it's going to be a long time coming, and in the beginning we'll be lucky to have something comparable to 20 year old tech, and even then not everyone will be able to afford to buy the printers.

It will be a huge step forward, though.

 No.31864

I wouldn't be surprised if there were public 3d printers at libraries or something in the future. This would make even the more expensive and better quality printing available to the public.

 No.31869

>>31864

In the future they will most likely be prevalent, but at the current rate the most you'll see is a makerbot printing plastic parts.

Far from being able to create full fledged computers.

There already are. Came to me as a surprise, i expected people advising library staff are a bit more shazzied.

>>31869

If the interest for 3d printers falls, that will be the case. the main problem currently is that the technology for consumer-grade printers is developing too slowly and that will most likely be the scenario.

also, link dump.

this one is really nice, 3d printing, components pick and place, soldering them, automatic exchangeable heads, etc.

i think their price for a beta product is a bit too exaggerated. the actual cost is lowered for triple if you diy it.

this one is an upgraded version. its more reliable and all that so you wont need to get a pair of artificial balls if it accidentally discharges.

I personally believe that .22 ammo is bullshit but it could be easily adapted to 9mm which is easier to find.

And of course, with 3d printer you need to have a 3d scanner.

this one seams easy enough to diy, even for a beginner. you can source that stepper out indoor air-conditioning unit (vertical air flow flaps, more expensive the unit, more of the steppers. high end mitsubishi has 4 of them) . if i follow some degree of logic, that stepper controller too. never bothered to check, though.
