Since monoelain came back, the board hasn't really improved or changed at all. Given the past and current drama with lainchan, and looking at how tightly monoelain is tied to them, I'm not sure how I feel about having him as board owner any longer.

Today is the third day I've been "back", but if you have any suggestions on how to improve this board, I really want to hear them. I've moved to a new country and I've finished setting up things, so I have some more time.

I don't really have a relation with kalyx. We've talked a handful of times, and he asked me for my /castle/ css, which is free to use for anyone. I'm friends with darkengine, but that's because we met working on another thing, which didn't have anything to do with lainchan.

I must have missed some kind of drama, but I'm not sure if I want to even learn what happened. I hope nobody spams this board out of retaliation or something again though, since it sucked the last time that happened.

I do think there needs to be some serious effort put into improving the board. We need an additional mod or two, we need to advertise a bit, and we need to work on QC. Repetitive threads should be marked as recurring and kept from falling off the last page, so we don't end up with a dozen music threads. Wordfilters need to be changed a bit - there are some good ones that should be added, and bad ones that should be taken away. We need to push activity up - while the rest of 8ch has grown, we've shrunk, and we now place somewhere in the 40s for board rank.

Bump-lock redundant threads, delete spam once in a while, sticky movie nights thread when something is up, update wordfilter because it is boring. Make /cyber/ cool, you are the dragon head after all.

Nah. He's the best thing that's happened to this board in a while. He's the only thing keeping /cyber/ from becoming a lainchan circlejerk at this point.
