i thing it went something along the lines of "life styles" or something. anyone know what i'm talking about?

This detroit techno chart's a little eh since it's all albums and comps so if you dig any of these go dig up the artists' EPs and singles.
Trip-hop's /cyber/ as shit too depending on the artist, some of the sexier Massive Attack type stuff not so much but the darker noir groups are perfect for it. Really fit that rainy, gritty atmosphere that surrounds cyberpunk.
Also I just listened to this album today, it's 100% cyberpunk as shit front to back. Dark Pool by Black Rain.

>>8198What sections could we have? I'm thinking soundtracks, synthwave, techno/house, vaporwave, industrial/EBM, ambient, downtempo/trip-hop, hip-hop, maybe UK garage or dubstep, breaks/drumnbass, IDM,and whatever rock sections we can think of. Maybe noise too, I don't listen to much noise though. Of course we could compress these into broader sections too.
Maybe four to eight albums for each section depending on what we can come up with. That way it's more diverse and not just a shitload of synthwave with some other albums as afterthoughts. Maybe an "other" section for whatever doesn't fit anywhere else.

>>8369Alright I threw this together real quick, sort of split into categories although I haven't labelled it. A lot of empty spaces as you can see and a lot of it's off of quick skimming through my library so if you guys have any suggestions at all please hook me up. Every section needs suggestions and consensus, especially the industrial and synthwave sections since I'm not too familiar with those. I also couldn't fit breaks, IDM, rock, or noise onto the chart either but if you all have any ideas then feel free to share them. Again I'm no expert on any of these so if anyone has any suggestions and there isn't any disagreement I'll throw it on once I put the full version together in photoshop. This thing might end up looking pretty big which will be good I think.
Some specific questions too, I'm torn in three places. It's between Cosmogramma or LA for Flying Lotus, Londinium or Controlling Crowds for Archive, and any Death Grips album. I only want to do one album per artist so if you guys want to offer up opinions I'm all ears. I'm personally leaning towards LA for FlyLo but Cosmogramma's got spaciness over LA's urban sound. Archive I can go either way, since everyone knows Bullets off of Cyberpunk 2077's teaser but Londinium's a more popular album I think. Death Grips is between brouzouf Store, GP, and NOTM for me but I'm leaning on NOTM since it's their most experimental album imo.

‘Dyadic Black Hole’
This is our tribute to the Rosetta Mission, which was Earth’s first successful attempt to land the probe Philae on the comet 67P, to a backdrop of Carl Sagan’s immortal words.
“Rosetta’s Plasma Consortium (RPC) picked up variations in the magnetic field around the comet, due to interactions between 67P/C-G’s coma and the plasma from the Sun, better known as solar wind. These variations resulted in frequencies between 40 to 50 millihertz, about 10,000 times lower than can be detected by humans. ESA scientists altered the frequency of the comet’s song into human hearing range, and discovered it was a series of clicks that are very reminiscent of Predator’s growl.”
We have used that very recording aka 'Comet Song' without adjusting its pitch or tempo within this work.

I thought Seikima-II's "Stainless Night" was pretty cyberpunk (As a note, I like Sadie's version better). It's in weeaboo, but I'd suggest reading the translated version if you're into it. Nothing mindblowing, but a nice change for some of you, maybe.
Here is a shitty translation I could find from a quick startpage search:

That's pretty much the reason that it will be the blues/rock/punk of the 21st century and all other forms of music shall thus be based off of it. Fortunately, for those of use who've become accustomed to the aural opium born from the machine, we shall pass over into the next singularity while all others are left rotting in a pit of what we once were, imagining that they are on the cutting edge of reality when they were the ones who failed to understand the rising tide of the epic synth sounds.

I asked this question over on /tech/ a while back but I got nothing,
I have a DVD (from the 10 discs Matrix collector edition) that has a lot of "music used for inspiration during the matrix filming".
I remember there was a lot of things, maybe 50 or 60 songs on it, and it was pretty schway.
I'm trying to see how I can rip it from the disc but so far I can't even see it.
Mounting the disc on a folder and using tree on it gives nothing, only the usual DVD files.

I'm dead serious though, theres a lot of noise like Terrorfakt, Iszoloscope, Synapscape, and Esa that i would consider cyberpunk
also all harsh noise and PE is kinda cyberpunk

here's a script I just wrote to help automate album downloads from bandcamp with youtube-dl
It's in Python and it creates a bash script to download so you can just walk away. If anyone wants to help me further automate it (like scraping the page and grabbing all of the album links for automatic entry) I'd love it.
Really clunky, but it's saving me time.
from __future__ import print_function
import os
blank = 1
print("Starting bandcamp download. (You should probably be buying these)")
artist = raw_input("Artist name: ")
f = file('%s.sh' % artist, 'w')
print("#!/bin/bash", file=f)
print("mkdir %s" % artist, file=f)
print("cd %s" % artist, file=f)
while blank == 1:
blah = raw_input("Would you like to create an album directory? y/n ")
if blah == "y":
album = raw_input("Album name: ")
print("mkdir %s" % album, file=f)
print("cd %s" % album, file=f)
url = raw_input("Album URL: ")
print("youtube-dl %s" % url, file=f)
print("cd ..", file=f)
else:
os.system("chmod +x %s.sh" % artist)
os.system("./%s.sh" % artist)
blank = 0
print("Stop being such a dirty thief.")

I'm trying to remember the name of this really schway cyberpunk song.
It's spoken word (no instrumentals) and the lyrics are about a apocalyptic futuristic dystopia
Anyone know anything like that?

>cyber music
>no one mentions Patient Zero
Are you kidding me? His whole music is pretty cyber. FFS, he has a song literally called "High tech lowlife": http://patientzero.bandcamp.com/track/hightech-lowlife
And yet none of you bothered to post about him before this? Really? Go check out the rest of his stuff. Most of it is also available on YT on his own official channel, if you want to rip it and not support a cool /cyber/ indie artist
Also, >>30670 you call that /cyber/? We don't go shit on it because that's literal shit. Fuck that. It's hiphop with a very vague tech aesthetic slapped onto it. There's nothing properly /cyber/ about it. And i didn't even bother with the others with that had that bland hiphop aesthetic on them. I don't fully agree with >>31200 since i think niggers can be /cyber/ (anyone can, but i'm not here to argue about that, i'm her for schway, cool, awesome and neat /cyber/ music) but those linked by that idiot are not cyber in any way, shape or form, that much is obvious.
Was gonna put an embed for the lazy, but it won't let me embed bandcamp? really, full-chan, really?
Either i suck at using chan or you really can't embed bandcamp…
