This is something everyone says at one point. Exhentai likes to think of itself as an exclusive club, if you google "how to access sadpanda" or something similar it'll come up with loads of guides (and a useful extension for Firefox/Chrome)
It's worth the effort, sadpanda is petty much the largest collection of h-manga there is

Tried the method posted here - http://haruhichan.com/wpblog/815/exhentai-chrome-plugin-get-past-sad-panda/ - but although the sad panda does now ask for my username and password nothing happens when I put them in. This is getting annoying.

(If you are getting too annoyed, E-Hentai has >70% of the stuff on sadpanda and doesn't need this shit, but it's mostly the /d/ stuff that's restricted)
