Who am I? Well, back during the first exodus in September of 2014, I created a board called >>>/futa/ . You may be wondering, "Why is there a futa board when we already have /d/?" The original intention was to splinter the two boards primarily because /d/ had always been covered in ~50% futanari content and ~50% everything else /d/. This became an agreement between myself and the board owner, Emiko. Unfortunately this splinter was removed when Emiko failed to log in again, his board was claimed, and a new owner came up. This has largely remained the same, until the previous owner failed to log in and I was given control.

A part of me wants to return to this state, because it would please a group of people who feel that futa over-represents the content on /d/. However, I would not like to change things too much, and will not act without approval from you, the users.

My idea is to make most future futanari content not allowed, but with a few exceptions specific to board topics. Still, about 90%+ of the content would be moved off-board. Any current threads on futanari content would be set to auto-sage, but would not be deleted. If most people disagree with this, then this board's content will remain the same.

Futa is not being banned. Maybe in the future when /d/ grows significantly larger, but for the time being, it is not being banned.

This board is pretty slow as is. Moving most of the content elsewhere is just begging for stagnation.

How would Elzi's threads be affected? Their stuff is a mixed bag and not completely futa.

As for futa, give it a containment thread tbh. In general I think /d/ should favor obscure shit since we're an obscure, slow board - we need a niche to grow, and anything that does become legitimately popular can splinter off if they want to.

"Too extreme" meaning "scat, guro, beast." I've always favored this rule because that kind of content has always been considered to be too niche, even for /d/. If enough people want this kind of content, however, there can be threads for it.

My idea is that none of the content would be removed, just future content would not be allowed. Some futa content would still be allowed to exist if it were relevant to the thread, but pictures where the primary fetish would be futa would be moved off-board (ex: ball torture threads could have some futa, but threads about blue-skin futa would belong on /futa/).

The last board owner even had a rule against this: "No scat, gore, or excessive extreme content."

This theory coincides with the fact that there are no threads involving these particular topics currently existing on the board. If you can prove to me that enough people want this kind of content, it can be allowed in a single thread. Specifically, scat can have its own thread, gore can have its own thread, ect.

As I mentioned earlier, the previous board owner had a similar rule against gore and scat. It's nothing new. I'm still not seeing any arguments to allow either, so they will remain banned for the time being.

So tell us new board owner, how did you get ownership of this board? I didn't see it go up for grabs on the claim board, not after a couple weeks ago when old BO came back and said he'd be abandoning soon.

I've never figured why scat, beast and guro were so 'wrong' for d. Especially given some of the stuff that is allowed. Personally I'd like to see them a bit more lax, the beast stuff in particular given the other d is so rigid about it (xeno stuff is okay, but anything with a muzzle is a no-no). I know there is a beast forum the more real-life animal stuff, but the art/fantastical I'd like to see ok here.

I've personally never really had anything against beast. In fact I visit the /beast/ board every once in a while. The whole reason that guro and scat are pretty 'wrong' is because it's such a crazy niche fetish. The worst thing is that it can be revolting (seeing some scat and vomit stuff can make me gag, even) and can turn people off, or even keep them from wanting to come to the board at all if they have to see that kind of stuff.

However, I'm not seeing any boards that allow that that sort of content (that are alive, at least). So I'm tending to lean towards the side of allowing these things but only under the condition that they're posted under a single thread, each. Still not changing the rule, yet. What does everyone else think?

Most people were in favor of the split, but the board owner who took over when Emiko stopped logging in didn't like it. Futa was allowed on /d/ again only because he wanted it, not because the community wanted it.

Most people weren't in favor of the split, that's why they left and /futa/ was practically a dead board and still is. When the board switched hands it was damn near close to dead.

The problem with board switches, especially those seeking to break down boards into smaller boards, is that the votes are easily inflatable.

I like the idea of forcing scat and guro to remain spoilered even in their own threads. There wouldn't be penalty for forgetting, I'd just spoiler them myself.

I'm going to get a lot of flak for this, but I don't actually have anything against furry. It's not something I go searching for, but I don't immediately retch with disgust if I find it. A similar rule of requiring it be spoilered would make it acceptable, I suppose. Still, I'm on the fence and not am not sure if it should be allowed at all.

Oh, and on a similar topic: I can make custom spoiler/file deleted images. Post some here, if you want, or e-mail me them. We're going to need them if we're to have a warning that the image might contain scat/guro/beast.

There's no problem if 50% of the content is Futa as long as it's still welcoming to others. and there's no way to justify splitting a board this slow anyway. (not to mention the amounts of crossover between futa and every other fetish, I don't want to be denied BDSM, Slave, Expansion, Monster-girls, or any other content just because the girl in the picture might also have a dick and i doubt many other do either. Encouraging a board split /will/ reduce content on here, even /if/ all of the users continue to frequent both boards (and they won't).

I was considering it, but in light of how people have reacted to it I'm not going to. It was fine a year ago when both boards had almost 100 posters each, but now /d/ alone only has a couple dozen. One of the reasons I didn't ban it outright was I'd never do anything that the majority of people didn't want. The majority of people didn't want futa banned, so it's staying.

I think the way it's working out right now furry, scat, and guro are going to be allowed. However, scat and guro should be kept to their own individual threads and the images spoilered. Furry could be posted to any thread, so long as it's related. Furry circlejerking will be dealt with.

Been hanging around /tf/ for my dose of TF and TGs, but that one is also pretty inactive, to say the least.

I guess the problem with 8chan is that it encourages splintering and sometimes splintering causes you to never reach critical mass.
