Not his fault that, in the arc he was born in, everyone who wasn't Goku, Gohan, or Vegeta was completely worthless.

He basically haxxed his way into Super Saiyan. A seven-year-old that could beat Frieza to death. Even if you think that's bullshit, it's still impressive.
