There's a lot of Digimon games, are Japan-only. Between racing, fighting, and the countless raising sim and rpgs, which ones your favorite?

Personally, my heart belongs to Digimon World Dusk. Digimon RPG with a strong focus on virus types? Yes please!

 No.45

For the longest time I thought the lunamon line were viruses because they were the same type as lilithmon.

Also dusk is shit.

I did say most of the games aren't released outside of Japan. Those seem to be the better games.

Dawn fan?

No, I prefer dusk because for one it has lunamon, and two the pretty pack makes building an all waifu team easier.

It's just a really bad game.

I prefer team of demons, myself.

World 1 or Card Battle. Part nostalgia for sure since i have not played a single game since DW3 on ps1.

Why cant someone make a online simulator of the Card Battle game like there is one for Yugioh?

I would play the shit out of that.

 No.65

DW3 is my favorite, probably out of nostalgia. It was the first Digimon game I ever played, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

That Data Squad/Savers game is also decent, but I find it hard to get the evolutions you want in that.

 No.66

I don't know why, but every digimon game I've played has a massive fuck you to the player.

Digimon world 1 had decent monster raising, but it is slow and your monster dies after a while leaving you to raise it again from a worse position than you started from.

Digiimon world 2 had decent dungeon crawling, interesting digimon recruitment, and the digibeetle was a fun concept but had its back broken by dna evolution and constant level resetting.

Digimon world 3 I cannot think of a good thing to say about and had its problems with lack of an experience bar, backtracking, and the ever present grind.

The ds games had lots of digimon to get and different ways to customize them and the farm system was a wonderful addition and in my opinion the best part of the game, but the grind needed to get them felt like something out of a f2p mobile title. Further story games had these same issues except for the xros wars games. Those had an easy way to get digimon but the same jogress issue as digimon world 2.

Re: digitize is in the same boat as digimon world, except that I spent more time in the gym than in DW and it felt even more dull despite the introduction of tits.

Anode/Cathode Tamer. The only one that felt at all like I was actually playing in the world of the show that got me into the franchise in the first place. I'm sure the sequels are better but this is the only one in english. Can't even find a fan translation of the others.

I'm basically just bumping this thread in the hopes of finding a translation. I don't want to have to learn moonrunes to learn the whole story of Adventure and Tamers.
