Hey guys, (Girls if any) [Maybe Trans, or Kitchen Drones]

I'm sure a lot of us are not only nerds, or maybe not at all. We know how real world works, not just the anime and videogames Pangea.

I've met remarkable people in this Beta college, and we have been partying and gone clubbing together.
Some of us, make a normal non-Digilife: We workout, play sports and have either dates or an off-site campus GF.
And we manage to pass, get nice grades and make something with our lives besides being all-day-long in front of a screen.

Does anyone else run into the issue, where people give you bad looks because of being fit?
Or maybe because they know you like to drink / smoke some weed?
Or because you actually shower and use colony/deodorant on the mornings?
Or because you are able to speak about sports, girls, politics and so on with anybody?

Sounds so retarded, but I believe the average Non-Typical-Digipen student gets actually BULLIED in this place.
Ofc, I find it funny, as I have a more interesting life than them from my point of view.
But I still feel bullied, not just by students (Which is most of it), sometimes even some Professors or Faculty.

What does the DigiPenitentiary judge?

Pd: I am friends with a lot of Nerds (Real Friends, not that dP Co-Worker standard), this is not meant to be offensive to them. I am claiming the rights of the Normal people. That minority on this college.

You either have a victim complex or some weird paranoid anxiety. I don't even know what to say to this post because while I do have time to keep myself clean and walk to school, I don't have time to do much else and I wouldn't waste my free time being bitter about people who actually have free time.
OP I suggest you spend your time worrying about stuff that is actually important. If faculty/teachers are giving you guff it's probably not because you're fit and a good student or whatever.

I've heard nothing but praise for friends who work out, and I don't. I think you're fucking paranoid. All of the people I've talked to who feel uncomfortable about our bodies want to work out. We just don't have/want(to spare) the time.

I have experienced some of what you're talking about, but it really was nowhere near the scale you seem to be making it out to be. It's just the nature of the beast

There are many more pressing issues.

NORMIES GET OUT

RRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

6d78d7 No.1270

Good on you for having a life outside of this hellhole. I know that I'm not good enough with time management to do anything outside of school.

Judging by the massive victim complex you seem to have, you're a lot less normal than you claim to be.

Every person I've seen bullied at this school has been because they're a shit person, so I would suggest honestly reevaluating yourself.

874fdf No.1279

I've judge people with trench coats, dogcollars, ponyshit, and so on. Why would I just someone for being fit? Are you autistic by any chance op?

6d78d7 No.1281

>>1279
>trench coats
But they're sooo badass
>Dogcollars
Woof woof I'm an actual dog
>Ponyshit
It's a quality cartoon or something something. I dunno.
>Fitness
HOLY FUCK YOU PIECE OF SHIT GET OUT OF THIS SCHOOL. YOU DON'T DESERVE TO MAKE SACRED VIDEO GAMES.

6d78d7 No.1282

>>1281
If I ever met someone who wore a dog collar because they were "dog-kin" or whatever the fuck I would flip my shit so fast. That said I'm not gonna judge anyone based on what they wear till they give me the reason why they do. Except for ponyshit. Irrational hatreds are irrational.

>I believe the average Non-Typical-Digipen student gets actually BULLIED in this place

I don't think I've ever seen anyone get bullied for being fit or socially stable or anything. If that kind of person is able to get bullied by the fucking nerds that go here, they should grow a pair

a242c2 No.1297

People have had interesting reactions to my drinking. Back in the "normal' world, I was always getting left out because I don't get drunk, and don't particularly like being in big parties. At DigiPen, it's been somewhat the reverse, where a lot of people seem to judge me based on the fact that I do drink, and kind of roll their eyes when I say I don't get drunk.

A large number of people here, male and female, have taken offense at my checking out women as well. Sometimes, merely saying a girl is attractive has resulted in people proclaiming that they are not into "objectifying women".

I actually can understand the whole "feeling bullied" aspect. I felt the same way at one point. I don't feel that way anymore, but I still feel like quite the outsider.

Some tips: Stop calling people nerds and Betas. People are what they are and judging them does you no good. Whether it's true or not, you're using those terms to insult people, and that's going to keep you feeling that way.

also, be more friendly. As I said, I still feel like an outsider, but I don't feel like I'm being avoided or insulted behind my back anymore. Some of the people at DigiPen that I like the most are people that I wouldn't have normally contacted.

>Complains that normal people don't like that he doesn't get drunk.
>Complains that DigiPen doesn't like that he drinks at all
Who fucking cares? You don't really want to hang out with the crowd which isn't willing to even be around alcohol anyhow. I can't drink for medical reasons(it's not technically an allergy, but that's the simplest way to describe it), but I'd still go to bars or wherever to hang out.

Where the hell are you seeing attractive women here, anyhow? I deliberately took a BFA class (I'm an RTIS) in a subject I found interesting(Storytelling. Fuck Joly's grading, btw) hoping to meet some women, and got absolutely nowhere.

743a7b No.1302

>>1301

I feel you, dude. There are very few attractive women here, and every time I've gotten to know one, I've gotten to know her boyfriend too. (which isn't all bad, I admit, some of those guys are fucking cool) 20% women sucks enough as is, but holy assfuck it's terrible that they're all BFAs, who the rest of us see essentially never.

I'm also a bit of a slow worker, so workload also keeps me from going to my usual hangouts in town, and lately I only meet women when I'm home for the summer. DigiPen has been the worst thing ever for my love/sex life.

a242c2 No.1310

>>1301
There are attractive women at DigiPen. I'm going to just leave it at that because I have no interest in talking shit about them, because most of the guys are no catch either. Hell, a large portion of them I'm surprised to find out they don't have down syndrome.

But I believe it's usually been about an actress when I've brought it up. Once or twice I might have mentioned that another student was attractive (and nothing gross, just casual comments.) Either way, the second I mention it, things get awkwardly quiet, and a few times people have actually excused them from the conversation.

As far as drinking is concerned…the comment was more that when I was at a state college, people thought I was too much a prude. At DigiPen, people often think the opposite.

8970bf No.1324

^Wow. What's so wrong with somebody having Down Syndrome? Do you have a thing against the mentally challenged, bigot?

9b87e8 No.1327

Nothing against them, but the spectrum students can be so fucking hard to have a conversation with. I once went through the cafeteria when there was coconut on fucking EVERYTHING, so I turned and joked to the person next to me "Must be a bad day for people with coconut allergies" and he started PROFUSELY APOLOGIZING.

They have a laser focus on the things they love(since they're here, that's almost always either video games or animation) and that's fine. I respect that. But for Christ's sake, it's still frustrating to have to take a guess at whether the person I'm talking to is learning-disabled every time I try to engage someone new in conversation.

>Here's a list of reasons I'm super cool
>ppl don't like me being super cool I bet they're just jealous beta loser scoopers :(
Holy shit, OP, maybe you're just abrasive, quit trying to pin your problems on every other human being.

>>1327
Consider it training for the real world. In a large city you can get straight up sucker punched for talking to a person. Strangers are strange, yo.

8aadc4 No.1334

>>1327
spoiler alert: if you're the one starting bullshit conversations with random people, you're the one with autism. it's you.

a242c2 No.1336

>>1324
Not sure if you're being serious or not. Suffice to say, people with down syndrome have a particular look about them…and no, I don't find them particularly attractive.

I'm saying that there are very few good looking guys at this school either. However, I don't swing that way, and have always had a hard time telling if a guy is attractive. Many times I've referred to a guy as "goofy looking" only to have female friends tell me how hot he is, or refer to a guy as handsome for them to respond and call him unattractive.

743a7b No.1338

>>1334

i know it's hard for you to believe, but some of us aren't so socially crippled we're afraid of talking to new people

I've met some of my best friends because I said some stupid random thing to the guy next to me and he went with it

>>1327
keep being one of the few people here that's friendly and silly

6d78d7 No.1341

>>1334
Spoiler alert, some people are more social than you and will actually start conversations from time to time. I hope that your beautiful isolated world doesn't come crashing down from this SHOCKING revelation, but quite a few people enjoy a good conversation once in a while.

Man the fuck up and stop trying to defend YOUR inability to talk to people as autism on the part of the person who had the misfortune of talking to you.
