What the fuck is wrong with these people? Especially that [redacted] guy. He's not attractive and then he makes it 10 time worse by [redacted]. I fantasize about padlocking a guage-wearer's ear hole.

Oh well, at least these fuck aren't competition for jobs, right?

I agree with OP. you can dress like a spaz one day and professionally the next, but as for the people with the hair and guages, it looks ridiculous.

I hope the transegender men-to-women at our school also realize how ridiculous they look. Im not even making a statement on that type of sexuality, im just flat out saying they look horrifying. No one is going to take them seriously in a job interview, and the only people who are going to hire them are going to be out of sympathy. TG people have too many zealous followers, so often hiring one can be a huge PR risk to the company if they end of firing them.

besides….they don't even dress like women. They dress like how a thirteen year old girl who has a makeup kit dressses.

I don't so much mind the dyed hair when it looks good and they upkeep it and pull it off well.

There is a girl with [redacted] that does it nicely, and another one with [redacted] that also seems to know how to not look like a tard. I mean, in this day and age, multicolored hair is fine as long as, like everything else, you upkeep it.

It's just the really far out there things, like the face paint.

Also, as far as transgender people go, I get why you're saying the image has a bit of a stereotype attached but one of the most successful and productive men in the BFA program I know is transgender and he looks fine. As long as you get your shit done well, and don't freak people out.

(There is this one transgender kid I know who graduated last year who does nothing but whine about how he can't get a job on Tumblr though, when his portfolio is hosted ON tumblr and filled with fetish trash. I can't imagine what interviewing him must be like. I wouldn't want him working for me either. That WOULD be a PR disaster. Maybe don't have 'kill all cis white men' linked up to you professional image. Just saying. It's hysterical. )

You made me update the rules because you didn't have the common sense to not anonymously mock the personal appearance of specific currently-enrolled students. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you people?

New rule:

- You MAY NOT call out any specific currently-enrolled DigiPen students by describing their personal appearance or mannerisms. Use common sense.

I have half a mind to just nuke this whole thread, because it's just asking for further rule violations, but I'll tentatively keep it open and see how things play out. Making general statements about groups of people is fine ("people with dyed hair", "guage-wearers" [sic]), but calling out specific currently-enrolled individuals is not.

One more thing: I want to make it perfectly clear that my lack of moderation with regards to generalizations about groups of people (in this case, trans* people) is not a tacit endorsement of this behavior, and does not reflect my own personal views in any way. The rules allow for this behavior. I would like it if I didn't have to moderate this board at all, because I believe in giving people a place to anonymously speak freely about whatever they want. However, when it comes to the safety and privacy of currently-enrolled students, you guys don't really leave me any choice but to step in.

You know, just from the context I can already tell that the previous guy who got ban-hammered was not only not trolling - I intimately know the guy. That's right guy, I'm that one guy who knows you more than anyone else at the school - I know where you live :O
