I don't pay much attention to clubs, but I can say that two of the most "vocal' clubs, diversity club and Cage of the Week, are both headed by BAGD's, and neither has anything to do with video games.
I don't really want to run a club, I'm busy making games. What I said is that calling it a "LAN" party is a misnomer, as the only reliable game to appear at these functions is League of Legends.
Whenever one of these things is announced, I consider taking a break to do it, then realize that the only networked game I can count on is a game that I have no particular interest in. So instead, I stay home, work on one of my game projects, play something to take a break, jerk off, and then wake up refreshed and ready for the next day.
If you can tell me how going to the "LAN party" is a better experience than cumming into a tube sock, I'm all ears, but all I really see about it is a big circle jerk where we can all pretend like LOL has any chance of being as popular as the major sports.
